Queen Size Platform Bed in Espresso Bycast Leather

I was looking for a platform bed, with soft edges, and modular headboard. I found the The ModRest Platform Bed online at a select few distributors, but at exorbitant prices (3-5k range). When I saw this on amazon for $500-600, I was skeptical of the quality but I have never been more pleased with a piece of furniture.

It is soft on all edges, with quality craftsmanship. It is a sturdy build. I would recommend two people to assemble to help the dowels meet up at each corner. Another tip do not completely screw in the corner brackets until all pieces are connected it will save you time for adjusting to ensure all angles meet 90 degrees. The bed also comes in several large and heavy boxes, although in very good condition.

The headboard pieces are very sturdy as well, with two heavy metal brackets slotting into the side of the bedframe/mattress. It slots in on any side of the bed, and supports a substantial amount of weight if you're leaning against it to read a book or watch TV.

You can use a box spring in this frame, although, the mattress alone is more attractive.

The color on the pictures looks more like a chocolate brown it's actually really dark espresso as the name suggests.

I'm contemplating purchasing the white version for a guest room. The feet of this bed are well tucked beneath the soft edges, so those of you who are clumsy will LOVE this bed no more sore shins.

Purchasing furniture online without seeing the item has been hit or miss for me, but this is definitely a purchase I am extremely happy with.

It's a nice sized dresser with plenty of space, but I was dissappointed that the lock only came on the smallest drawer. I would have liked it to be on the middle drawer or bottom drawer or even on both the top and middle drawer. So now I have to find a way to put an additional lock on the middle drawer myself.

The lock system does not work, no matter which way you place it, the material is not good quality, splintered the board with nails each time. It looks nice when put together but I am sure this will fall apart in a metter of weeks. . Directions are not easy to follow.

The build quality is lower than I expected, but it seems pretty sturdy now that it is put together. Surprisingly well packaged, no damaged parts.

Was looking for a bed frame w/head and footboard for awhile, like always didnt want to spend a great deal of money. Amazon had another less expensive model that sold out quickly so in a pinch I choose this one. It was a bit more expensive, maybe $50 more, however no regrets. The bottom frame is very solid and sturdy and it went together fairly easily. No complaints here.

The item shipped quickly from the seller. The bed seems sturdy so far. My only complaint is that I wish there was more space underneath the bed for storage. We could add extenders but that would require some modifications to the footrest. But overall we're happy with the bed.

Greendale Home Fashions 20-Inch Square Floor Pillow Omaha/Amigo fabric

We ordered two of the Bitter colored floor pillows and absolutely love them. We have guests over weekly and never have enough chairs/couches/etc so the floor pillows were a great addition. All of our guests who have used these have only had wonderful things to say about them. They don't go flat after sitting on them for an hour or so which is great. They're also pretty big which is great because adults fit on them well. They have a handle on the side which makes them easy to pick up and move around. The fabric is soft (reminds me of corduroy) and is very easy to clean (we have a 21mo old who loves to sit/play on these. We're planning on getting two more. I highly recommend!

We are hosting Christmas this year and I was worried we would run out of seating space. These cushions were thick enough to accomodate adult weights and look nice so they fit the bill. I'll probably also use them on the dining room chairs as boosters for my granddaughters so I sprayed them with Scotch Guard to be on the safe side. I just wish they were a little bit bigger, say 24", and more olive in color. These were more green than what I would call olive, but I suppose that can be subjective.

These cushions are thick, plush and very well made. They can be used either indoor or outdoor. The fabric appears to be quite sturdy, as well.

I'm growing tired of cheap junk that doesn't work so maybe take the 1 star with a grain of salt. That said, I can't believe other reviews thought these were "plush". I can easily feel my floor when I sit on it. I am not a heavy man. We have another floor pillow that cost 2x as much but is 10x better. We sent this one back to Amazon the day after it came.

The basic pillow is good, and while I was not looking for a button decoration in the middle of a pillow (concerned that it would impact comfort), I was not pleased that the button came off of both sides in the first week of light to almost no use. A plastic piece held together buttons on both sides of the pillow, but apparently this piece broke and both buttons came off.

I have used space bags in the past and have found that they do their job well. This model has a nice design because it has a relatively small footprint, is stackable, and the plastic part is protected by the canvas exterior, which makes punctures less likely.

A big warning, however: do not overstuff these bags, as they will rip very easily. I was putting a large duvet in one a bit recklessly and the seam busted without a lot of resistance.

These bags saved my linen closet. I have 2 kingsize beds and 4 queens. Needless to say, the bedding was taking over the house. These bags easily handled comforter sets for both sizes. I put 1 size in a bag, comforter, shams, sheets and I could have doubled them up but for this price, I didn't need to.

It really works! Dont expect the valve for the vacuum to fit, though. Despite that, you can still pull all of the excess air out, and condense your stuff.

There is, sadly, a limit to how far you can condense to (naturally!)!!

This was the first Space Bag we've bought. From reading reviews about other vacuum bags, my spouse thought it might not seal, but it worked without any problems. She especally liked the fact that it's encased in canvas fabric with a zipper and handles, so it will work even if the airtight seal breaks (which it hasn't).

The pros: It looks nice.

The cons: The piece is manufactured from particleboard which I expected. However, it is painted, not laminated which means at least the top will scratch in a matter of days or weeks. Adding laminate on top would have cost a buck or two but would have completely avoided this.

The back of the stand and the bottom of the drawer are made of extremely flimsy cardboard. I would have possibly accepted this for the back where wear and tear are less likely but doing so for the drawer bottom is unacceptable. For a buck or two this could have been plywood and stood up to a glass of water. As is a minor spill and you can take it to the garbage.

IKEA demonstrates that you can construct inexpensive furniture that lasts at least for a little while. Why this manufacturer opted to save this marginal amount of money which could have been easily added to the price of the piece is beyond me.

Finally: I have put dozens if not hundreds of pieces of furniture together. Most of my furniture is assembled. The instructions are a bit confusing but not misleading. The gripe I have is that they are printed in a size where I need glasses to read them. What is worse: One step of the process requires you to screw the back into the bottom *blind*. There are no markings and you are left to your feel and guesswork where exactly to place the screws (which are too large for the purpose to start with). If you guessed half an inch wrong and you will split the particle board (which I did but hammered and it back down and gave it another try).

This is not inexpensive but *cheap* junk. Buyer beware.

Nice heavy nightstand, great for price. I purchased this and the dresser from Amazon, both look great. Pretty simple to put together with 2 people, if you follow the instructions.

The look is dead on what I wanted in a night stand. With the open bottom and black and silver. Listen to the reviews though, the quality is lacking quite a bit.

ALSO! I know it's my fault but measure your stuff in the room and make sure this thing is gonna size up nicely. I didn't even think to measure my king sized pillow top bed and this night stand falls WAY short of where I'd like it to be so I ended up having to make a box for it to stand on! UGH!

In the end I would've paid quite a bit more for a larger version with the exact same look but better quality.

Solid Wood Espresso Twin Bed

Not for adults. I bought this bed for my son, but also for occasional guest use. It broke the first time an adult used it. The seller (Mom's Bunkhouse) said I should have known that it is designed only for kids because the description says "great for a child's room". When it broke, I can see that it is made of soft and very low quality wood. If you buy it for a child, don't expect it to last once your kids are teens. Also Mom's Bunkhouse didn't provide a full refund, but only gave a partial refund and replaced the broken piece with one of the wrong color and with a big hole drilled in the middle for no reason. Buyer beware.

We got this for our little boy as a crib replacement. Let me say that I DO like it, and assembled, the bed looks very nice. The finished look of the bed grants the product stars at all.

That said, the instructions said that the bed should take an hour to assemble. If only! The screws to connect the screws to the foot of the bed were too short, so I had to run to Home Depot to get new ones. Upon assembling the foot, head, and side rails, we discovered that the assembled foot was two full inches shorter than the assembled head. The slats for the mattress were uniform in length, so I had to trim them to differing lengths.

All in all, between trips to Home Depot, running to the in-laws to use their power saw, and trying to get regular Saturday stuff done, the project took well over the amount of time it should have. Again, the finished product looks nice, and the mattress fits on the bed, but the hassle of the product was ridiculous. I can't recommend buying it, simply because I'd hate for anyone else to go through the same thing.

I looked on craigslist, classifieds, and salvation army to find a good price on a real wood bed. This one, including shipping, was the best price! I have no experience constructing furniture and yet I was able to put it together all by myself in about an hour (go mom!). You will need a Phillips screwdriver and possibly a hammer, although I didn't need one. It looks great, and is lightweight but solid. A little low to the ground, but for my toddler this is a plus. As he grows I plan on adding a box spring and bed lifts for more space off the ground. Would make a great guest bed as well. I'm 5'8" and I fit on it comfortably.

And I had more than enough glue that it came with. Had about half of it left over. Although I'm not sure it would ruin the construction without it. Everywhere there is glue there is a long screw on either side of it, not to mention the dowel that the glue is for.

Great instructions. Simple and easy to understand.

I bought this bed for my 2-year-old as a crib replacement. It would work fine as a smallish adult bed as well-I can sleep on it comfortably myself.

It is all solid wood, well packaged to avoid scratches and dents, and includes everything you need to assemble it. I ran out of the included glue and had to add some Elmer's of my own, but that was likely a result of poor planning and over usage on my part.

I am only knocking a star off because the hex bolts that hold the bed together are not all that pretty, and are not hidden. If they were brass, or if they were recessed and covered with some kind of peg or plug, the bed would be a little bit nicer looking. But honestly, I am not sure this merits knocking a whole star off. It's an excellent purchase.

I really want to love this duvet set, but I can't all the way, especially at the price. In the picture you get the impression that you have contrasting pillow covers. In my set, all the pillowcases & shams had the same painting on them. The duvet cover is "reversable." In the picture, you can kind of see that where it is folded down. Mine was sewn sideways so you wouldn't be able fold it down because of the pattern. The big picture on the duvet cover is a little blurry and and the girl's face is blank. I really love the gold color and the romantic theme. The fabric is soft. I want to keep this and probably will, because there is no guarantee if I sent in for exchange, that the new ones wouldn't have the same problems. I love it in theory but not sure it's worth it for the price.

Update: I decided to keep the set and have posted pictures of it. I washed it, it wasn't quite as soft after washing. The picture did not fade at all in washing. It was just as vibrant. It is 100% cotton and had to be ironed after washing, that was a royal pain. After sleeping in it, it was a little wrinkled. The bottom, fitted sheet is not symmetrical because a piece had to be added down one side to make it big enough for the bed. In it's defense, the bottom sheet has very deep pockets and good elastic. I had no problems at all putting it on a pillowtop mattress and that was after washing so the shrinkage isn't bad either. If I could I'd bump this up to 3 1/2 stars. I would even consider it a 4 if it weren't so expensive.

This duvet is as beautiful as it looks in the picture. However, it does not come with a flat sheet, nor do the pillow cases an shams vary as it appears in the picture. I am not dissatisfied however with the way this product came packaged it, really should be, perfect. It is not.

Sauder Harbor View Full / Queen Headboard with Painted Antique Finish

I have researched and looked for a headboard for a long time now and decided to go with this one because I like Sauder. I bought a platform metal frame from Amazon as well and kept reading about how it's difficult to attach headboards. This headboard seemed heavy and solid enough not to worry about that issue and I was right. The headboard fits perfectly behind the bead and no brackets needed. It is solid all the way to the floor and heavy and sturdy.

First of all I am really impressed with this headboard. It is very heavy (about 95-98 pounds)but I was able to put the entire thing together myself and I am a 5'2 female. I used my bed as a work-space and kept rotating it without scratching it. I only needed help with the lifting part when I was done.It took me about an hour and a half, maybe less to assemble it because of the weight. It was very easy to understand and the pre-drilled holes were perfectly lined up.

I know I always look for information on wood types, so I will let you know what this is. It is not solid wood except for the posts. It is engineered wood, but very well made and what I come to expect from this company. I have a Sauder entertainment center that is well over 12 years old and it has been moved 3 times now and still is as nice as it was on day one except for a few dings from moving, lol. I expect this headboard to hold up the same because of the solidness.

The finish is more satin and the color is a very very dark brown, NOT black. It looks old and antique and reminiscent of wood shutters on an old house. I have been so in love with the color and the distressed look, I am redoing my older dresser and nightstand the same color.

Summing up, very solid piece of furniture, easy assembly, very pretty. Beware of the weight & what frame you have; mine is a platform metal frame from Amazon and I did not need brackets at all. Solid and heavy enough to sit by itself behind the bed and doesn't move.

Sauder has come a long way, the product was well made and easy to put together, no problmes at all...

South Shore Furniture, Summer Breeze Collection, Twin Mates Bed 39", Vanilla Cream

We bought this bed for a teenage boy who was moving into our home. Because of space considerations, we needed a twin bed and were also looking for additional storage space.

The bed arrived flat-packed in a single, very heavy box. It took two of us to get it into the home. We opened and unpacked it downstairs and carried the components upstairs to the bedroom as needed. It was too bulky and heavy to carry upstairs while still in the box.

One small piece was damaged during shipment, but we opted not to return it, and instead just used it. Assembly took about 3 hours, and it was certainly helpful to have a second person to hold some of the components together. (I suppose it could be assembled by one person, but if I were doing it again, I'd make sure I had help again.)

The bed looks pretty nice and feels really sturdy. We bought a $99 Ikea mattress for the bed (no box spring needed) and the teenage boy actually said it was a really comfortable bed. It will hardly last forever (though we don't need it to do so) but he was pleased, and so were we.

The "missing" star is due in part to the truly cheap construction of the drawers (very thin drawer bottoms) and plastic drawer glides. The drawers are also pretty small, and will hold very little. Aside from the drawers, however, the bed seems nice, especially considering the price.

Nice be all in all, but one of the drawers had the incorrect inner railing system, so it didn't fit. Had to call the company and they are sending a replacement. Has been over 2 weeks and still no replacement. Make sure you know exactly where you want to place the bed, as there is no moving it after it is assembled. Nice room in the drawers though. My daughters room is small and this takes the place of a chest of drawers, with room to spare

My mom purchased this bed for my 5-year old daughter when she became too tall for her toddler bed. She loves it. Assembly was straight forward, but be mindful of the lengths of the different screws. The drawers slide in and out smoothly and I appreciate the rounded edges. My only complaint is that our standard twin sized mattress is shorter than the bed frame by about 5 inches, which leaves a lot of the frame exposed.

I really like this bed base, it has a nice sturdy platform for the mattress, and the drawers are a nice size. We keep linens and P.J.s in them. The only complaint I have is the color. As I have said in other reviews, "Vanilla Cream" is quite a misnomer. It is a "White Eggshell" and that is because it only has one poorly applied coat of paint. I really feel like I need to repaint the entire set!

I am so pleased with this desk. It takes a little bit of putting together, but I like to put toghether stuff. The black glasstop goes so well with all the blak computer stuff. It's so easy to clean. The roll out brackets work really smooth. The only down fall is this: this roll out brackets for the keyboard is very sharp. I scratched my hands a couple of times. That's real easy to fix. Just file them round. All that aside this desk rules.

I expected a bit more out of this vanity for the price. It looked nice when I was looking at it on Amazon. When it arrived my husband and I were both a little surprised by the quality. It is made of cheap particle board covered with oak-looking stuff. The bench is really nice, though it sits a little low. It looks okay in our bedroom, kind of matches our more expensive mission furniture if you don't look too hard. All and all, the quality does not match the price we paid. I think I would order a different vanity if I had to do it over again. Not worth it.

We like the vanity, but it was damaged in three places. We like how it looks and it seems sturdy.

I'm glad I came across this Coaster vanity set for just under $200. I have a couple other pieces of Coaster furniture and have been consistently impressed with the quality. This item arrived in good shape, no broken pieces. It is a sturdy vanity and very easy to put together (i did it alone in 20 minutes). The only significant complaint would be the stool cushion (could be better quality--very thin foam with a cheap piece of faux suede). As a 30 something woman, I saw some of the similarly priced vanities in person an they felt like "little girl" vanities to me. I'm glad that this has a more "grown up" feel without spending a lot more money :)

I really enjoy the product as far as the finish is concerned and it's perfect fit in my room. However, the seller shipped this with broken pieces. The wooden piece that holds one of the drawers was broken in half and the drawer now hangs rather than slide in and out smoothly.

You have to build it yourself. it wasn't too bad, as you need someone's help with the mirror. The cushion is very difficult to attach to the seats. the screws that came with it were too short to secure both pieces. The backing to the cushion is a very hard wood, so I was never able to use this. I was afraid a drill would go through the cushion. I resorted to wood blue which did the trick nicely, but simply an inconvenience.

I like it, but too much trouble to set up, and the drawers are very very small.
