Baker Rack with Slate Inlaid in Dark Bronze Finish

This item was everything I expected (and more!). The box arrived in good shape (via FedEx) and all the parts and pieces were all included. Each piece was packed VERY WELL (esp the glass shelves). Very easy to put together and very sturdy. The largest glass shelf supports our new microwave with no problem. I have this rack in our bar area of the family room and it looks even better than pictured. We have other furniture in the room with slate accents and this piece matches perfectly! I am a very satisfied customer...and I will order from this company again!

I put this together over the weekend. One person, 45 minutes with breaks for changing the music on the ipod, fiddling with the stereo and retrieving the bolts from my cat. The fasteners they give you come in a little baggie of bolts. There's no cardboard backed plastic container with labels, just a little red plastic bag of bolts. No extras so you'd better find any you drop or that the cat runs off with. They must coat these with used french fry oil because whenever I turned my back my cat would be running off with one in his mouth.

Though it goes together well and I had few issues doing it myself, the instructions are laughable. They consist, in their entirety of one page with four pictures in various stages of assembly. There are no written instructions whatsoever. If these guys made a guide to learning to play the flute it would say, "Blow in one end and move your fingers up and down the holes. There! You're playing the flute!"

Just remember this to save some time and headaches. Put it all together but don't tighten it all up until you're finished or you'll have to loosen bolts for it to fit together.

Now for the measurements! Is there anything more annoying than the vague measurements they provide? I wanted to know what would fit in each shelf. So here are the assembled measurements. I rounded down to the next 1/4" so if it read 16 3/8", I'll give it as 16 1/4".

Starting from the floor to the bottom shelf/rack to the bottom of wine rack, then from the top of the wine rack shelf to the bottom of the 'middle' shelf, then from the top of the 'middle' shelf to the bottom of the top shelf;

From ground to bottom of (lowest) bottom shelf/rack 7"

(Top of) Lowest shelf/rack to bottom of wine rack 19 1/4"

(Top of) Wine rack shelf to bottom of next 'middle' shelf 15 1/2"

(Top of) Middle shelf to bottom of top shelf 14"

DEPTH of shelves, from the front of the back poles to the front of the shelf;

Bottom, lowest rack 16" (Measurement between the front and back poles on the sides.)

Wine rack shelf 17" (I have a very deep microwave on mine. I chose this rack because of the depth. It just barely fits, but it fits.)

Choose your vendor wisely. I was ready to buy and one vendor who provided free shipping was out of stock. I went with the next vendor and paid about $35 more. The next day the cheaper vendor had stock again. Shipping took a while but it arrived unscathed. Still pleased with purchase.

Although it's listed as a brown finish, it's so close to black as to be negligible. I actually love this rack, I'm just annoyed that the finish is SO cheap, it scuffs off if you sneeze at it. It came damaged on the top, looks like it got banged pretty hard in shipping, and it took off a chunck of the top post but I just took a little spray paint to it and you can't even tell now. It looks like it would be one of those flimsy metal racks that wobbles constantly, but it's not at allit sits very still and it's got a lot of space. THe wine rack only holds the narrowest of wine bottles, so don't count on it holding all "regular" sized wine bottles...Mirrasou fits, but Jargon doesn't, and to my eye they're the same size. Odd. But it'll hold 15 wine glasses (!) and the slate is gorgeous. I would buy it again.

This furniture was pretty much what I expected. I bought it as a headboard for a bed in our spare bedroom so it wont get much use and that's probably a good thing. It was fairly simple to put together, and I did so in about 30 minutes. The piece is made from pressed wood and is not in any way top of the line furniture however for the price it will serve its purpose.

I got this bed 3 days ago (on time, nothing wrong with that) but today we finally were able to have time to open it and try to put it together... yeah GOOD LUCK ON THAT! All the main big boards and a bunch of smaller ones were all split apart in half or split down the middle. I dont know if it was the shipping that busted it all up or if while it was at the warehouse it got broken or what but there was no way to even start putting this together since all the main pieces were worthless! now im afraid to even try the south shore customer service line. i really hope they are helpful otherwise there is going to be major problems! There is no reason THAT MANY of the boards should be broken! and the box it all came in did not look beat up or anything. I hope they are able to send me replacement parts and that those do not come in broken as well otherwise i want all my money back and i will just go to ikea! Just wasted time for nothing.

Well, I STILL have not been able to put this bed together! after contacting customer service (i used the live chat option on their website, they were very nice and helpful) i got replacement parts sent to me. Once the parts arrived it turned out ONE of those were split right down the middle! so i had to contact them again to get a replacement for THAT part! Again, i used the live chat and they were very nice and helpful and placed the order for the replacement part which shipped very quickly to me this time. Unfortunately once i got that part just recently we realized that it is the right letter part but it is for the queen size version of this i believe, i was supposed to get the FULL size one and it even says it on the order acknowledgment... so YET AGAIN i contacted customer service and i am still pleased with how they handle things, but whoever is in the warehouse picking these out needs to pay more attention! My replacement part is now currently on its way and i will update again when it arrives and when i finally get the bed put together. I am happy with their customer service but so far i am not very happy with buying this bed because of all the problems ive had so far!

I ordered this headboard for my two year old daughter. She loves to read...and we were tired of storing the books on the floor next to the bed, so I found this headboard that is perfect! I wanted a modern looking clock for my new apartment. It looks amazing. It is made of sturdy glass, which should be a plus, but it makes the clock very heavy. I don't think Amazon's product description is accurate... I just don't want to make mess on my rental property, so I'm going to return it and get something less substantial. Also, I was wondering how the back side of the clock looks like and it's almost laughable. I guess it's okay as long as it keeps the time correctly but I expected a bit more quality on front AND back. I've uploaded a photo of the back.

This is our second Karlsson Clock. In general they have a very modern look to them one of the few products where the image online is a close visual approximation to the look of the clock itself. In hand, the materials used are very light-feeling; this is interesting because visually the glass/plastics used appear to much more expensive.

Small Baseball Chair and Ottoman Set

I ordered this chair about 7 months ago for my 15 month old. He loved it immediately! It's absolutely adorable, and really does look just like the picture...fast forward 7 months and, well, it still looks cute, however toddlers aren't easy on any products. Needless to say, the screws that hold the bottom of the chair to the plate that allows it to swivel are just about gone...so we've found random screws in our living room for a couple of months and his climbing, tackling, running into the chair have left it pretty unstable. At this point, we're waiting for a few last screws to come out before we just place the bottom of the chair on the floor. Another thing...the red stitching is elasticsame material basically as a hair tie...so it pulls out pretty far and snaps back.

We absolutely love the chair, as does our son, but we wish that it was a little more robust to withstand a crazy toddler.

My son wanted a baseball themed room for his birthday and after searching several stores I found this on Amazon. I got it for half the cost that the retail furniture stores were asking! I have a very happy 5 year old that just loves it! Perfect size, good quality and just plain Adorable!

Solid Wood Espresso Twin Bed

Not for adults. I bought this bed for my son, but also for occasional guest use. It broke the first time an adult used it. The seller (Mom's Bunkhouse) said I should have known that it is designed only for kids because the description says "great for a child's room". When it broke, I can see that it is made of soft and very low quality wood. If you buy it for a child, don't expect it to last once your kids are teens. Also Mom's Bunkhouse didn't provide a full refund, but only gave a partial refund and replaced the broken piece with one of the wrong color and with a big hole drilled in the middle for no reason. Buyer beware.

We got this for our little boy as a crib replacement. Let me say that I DO like it, and assembled, the bed looks very nice. The finished look of the bed grants the product stars at all.

That said, the instructions said that the bed should take an hour to assemble. If only! The screws to connect the screws to the foot of the bed were too short, so I had to run to Home Depot to get new ones. Upon assembling the foot, head, and side rails, we discovered that the assembled foot was two full inches shorter than the assembled head. The slats for the mattress were uniform in length, so I had to trim them to differing lengths.

All in all, between trips to Home Depot, running to the in-laws to use their power saw, and trying to get regular Saturday stuff done, the project took well over the amount of time it should have. Again, the finished product looks nice, and the mattress fits on the bed, but the hassle of the product was ridiculous. I can't recommend buying it, simply because I'd hate for anyone else to go through the same thing.

I looked on craigslist, classifieds, and salvation army to find a good price on a real wood bed. This one, including shipping, was the best price! I have no experience constructing furniture and yet I was able to put it together all by myself in about an hour (go mom!). You will need a Phillips screwdriver and possibly a hammer, although I didn't need one. It looks great, and is lightweight but solid. A little low to the ground, but for my toddler this is a plus. As he grows I plan on adding a box spring and bed lifts for more space off the ground. Would make a great guest bed as well. I'm 5'8" and I fit on it comfortably.

And I had more than enough glue that it came with. Had about half of it left over. Although I'm not sure it would ruin the construction without it. Everywhere there is glue there is a long screw on either side of it, not to mention the dowel that the glue is for.

Great instructions. Simple and easy to understand.

I bought this bed for my 2-year-old as a crib replacement. It would work fine as a smallish adult bed as well-I can sleep on it comfortably myself.

It is all solid wood, well packaged to avoid scratches and dents, and includes everything you need to assemble it. I ran out of the included glue and had to add some Elmer's of my own, but that was likely a result of poor planning and over usage on my part.

I am only knocking a star off because the hex bolts that hold the bed together are not all that pretty, and are not hidden. If they were brass, or if they were recessed and covered with some kind of peg or plug, the bed would be a little bit nicer looking. But honestly, I am not sure this merits knocking a whole star off. It's an excellent purchase.

I'm the weirdo who actually likes putting together furniture. I hissed like an angry cat when my boyfriend offered to help me, because like going to the bathroom, the experience can achieve zen-like transcendence when done in complete solitude. It took me about an hour (I was in no rush) and was satisfyingly puzzle-like without being confusing or over-complicated. The pieces themselves are quite ingeniously designed; it seems almost impossible to assemble incorrectly.

I was nervous at the halfway point because it seemed to be rather wobbly, but as soon as the back panels were nailed in place, the piece settled into a rock solidity. This is a step up from Ikea, both in stability and looks; the wood feels real, not flimsy and shedding most particle board claptraps. For $100, color me quite impressed!

This bookcase came quickly and was very easy to assemble. It looks lovely. It's sturdy for the price. I'm very happy with this purchase.

This shower curtain is just what I'd hoped for, and, as one helpful customer review said, I was able to reverse the darker, greener side to the inside of the tub so that the paler, bluer side showed, which matches my other bathroom colors better. My husband and I always do our homework when it comes to purchasing anything over $50. We noticed that several of the reviews for this chair were not great, but we didn't mind adding in some bracing to make this chair a more solid piece of furniture. Let me say that my husband took his time putting this chair together and even did a few things to help "solidify" it. However, before we had an opportunity to put the bracing on the chair, it only took one time to sit in the chair when the arm came off. We'd only had it a couple of days. Upon closer examination of the arm of the chair, we noticed that it is hollow! It makes us wonder how many other pieces of the chair are hollow. We were also surprised that the seat itself is not a solid piece of wood. It has a large circle out of it (this is under the foam cushion), with a couple of straps but there is very little support in the seat itself. When you unzip the cushion cover, you notice right away that the foam is not really foam it is very hard stuff we aren't really sure what it is! In order for us to be able to use this chair, we will have to take it to a carpenter who has the right wood working tools to repair it. I wish we could get our money back but Coaster doesn't seem to have an office in the United States. You will DEFINITELY be sorry if you purchase this chair!

I had this chair for one week before the wood split and the arms fell off! BTW, I'm a 135lb. lightweight and the chair was assembled by my carpenter son-in-law. Please, save your money and don't buy this awful product. The materials used are cheap and most especially the wood is soft and not durable, even for small people like me. I subsequently bought another rocker from JC Penney and it is of the highest quality. Shame on this seller and Amazon for selling an obvious inferior product.

Chair seat support broke after only one month of use. Chair may not be designed to support weight of person using it when holding child. However I examined the support and it is not substantially contructed. I am ording another cahir just like this on but I will add bracing and steel support to seat support because of the original weak construction design.

My husband put it together using wood glue in all the joints and with the screws provided. We let it sit for about 24 hours before sitting in it so the glue was good and dry. This is a very sturdy rocker! The style is exactly what I wanted and it is really beautiful. It is a very straight back chair and the seat cushion is very firm. These shades are nice quality and I like that they're 100% bamboo, love the color... BUT. In the photo, they must have attached black felt to the back of them or something. The individual slats are each about 1 millimeter apart. Not only do they let a LOT of light through, you can see through them clear as day. It's basically like putting up a window screen. I was sad to have to return them. But grateful that Amazon returns are so easy.

If you are not a handy man or woman you might find these a bit hard to install as the instructions are not very clear at all, also the cord that they provide for rolling up the blinds was tangled beyond belief so that took up another fifteen minutes to detangle. These blinds are VERY see through so if you were hoping for a darker look forget about it or go out and buy a black or dark brown curtain to place behind them so they can actually look like they do in the picture, once you do that they do look pretty nice

I ordered the 72", but it was too short and I found one right after at another site to fit. So just minutes after placing my order I tried to cancel and was informed that it had shipped already. This was about 7pm, so that has to be the fastest warehouse ever. I was informed that when I received them I would just have to return them. When I tried to return them, I was told I would have to pay their original "free" shipping, return shipping, and a restock charge. Long story short, I would be lucky to get half my money back. So I'm stuck with shades that are too short, all because their lightning fast warehouse shipped them 10 minutes after I placed my order. I don't buy it.

In the daytime, I love these shades. However, it is alarming to me getting home from work at night and seeing my living room from the street clear as day. If you are looking for privacy, DO NOT buy these!!! Also, the string on one of mine broke while I was pulling the shade up and it is beyond fixable. Wouldn't have purchased these again. I found wooden matchstick shades of better quality from The Christmas Tree Shoppes for $7.

I did a lot of research on kitchen rugs before I chose this one. I have a Tuscan style kitchen. I am using this one in the sink area so it is getting a lot of use. The colors set off the other colors in my room (2 walls are terra cotta and 2 are gold) and the olive green color is really nice and breaks up the orangy/gold colors of most Tuscan style rooms. Colors were true to the colors on the website. This feels very nice, it's like wool. I have not washed it in the washer yet, but I also bought the other Homefires rug with the bright blue and that cleaned up very nicely with a sponge and dishwashing liquid when we spilled raspberry juice on it and sat on it for a whole day. I assume this one would be just as stain repellent as that one. Love this rug and would purchase it again in a minute. If you are looking for two rugs to compliment each other, I bought this one in combination with the Tuscan Sunflower with a blue panel, also by Homefires Accents, as the borders on both of these have a more lined pattern rather than the Tuscan Sunflower and Poppy which has a more "squiggly" pattern to it's border. These rugs are handmade.

Pros:

Functional, fits my needs for it. I have read reviews regarding problems with this. I, too, found the base to be wobbly, at first. Then I removed the screw for the base (which I installed originally) & re-installed it. This time, it worked correctly and the base is no longer wobbly.

Cons: Assembly directions are pathetic. However, if you can work jigsaw puzzles, you can figure the assembly out. I did have to re-do several of the screws to get it to fit correctly (a pain but worth it in the long run). One of the arms just will not fit correctly so I will put only light weight clothes upon it (it does not detract from the overall form nor appearance). I am a 62 year old woman. If I can assemble it, so can you.

Description: As advertised, black finish metal, etc (it is not wrought iron). This is a fairly light-weight piece of furniture but the base is stable so will hold a lot of clothes/coats (remember to balance the coats to prevent tipping over). The poles (upright) & arms are hollow but somewhat large and sturdy. The tips (which you insert into arms) are smooth & rounded. This is a purely functional piece of furniture -not attractive -but holds a lot of clothes/coats. It stays in my bedroom. I don't have tipping over problems.

I place purses, coats, cameras, a variety of clothes (caps, scarves, slacks, sweaters, etc) upon it -anything which hangs. I even have some computer cords (hdmi, etc -things I use frequently) hanging on it. The rounded tips on the arms are a definite plus in my opinion as I don't have to worry about anything tearing on it. The eight arms are a definite plus also. I wish it had more arms!

Summary: I like this piece of furniture. I would buy it again. It did not arrive in a timely manner but did finally arrive. The seller responded immediately to my inquiry. I believe the transportation company was at fault. The package was damaged but the product was not. I gave this product 3 stars because of the assembly instructions (or lack of) which required re-doing some of the work, which was a pain in the neck & because this in not an attractive piece of furniture. Otherwise I would have given it 4 stars. It gets 4 1/2 stars for functionality.

UPDATE:

May 21, 2011 -After having this over 1 year, I give it a 5 star rating because of durability and the fact that I can put so much on it (computer cords, electrical cords, clothes, cameras, anything that will hang). This coat hanger remains very stable & useful. I do hope the company has updated its assembly instructions. I would buy it again.

This coat tree is fabulous! Though it does require assembly, it took my 13-year-old sister 10 minutes to put together. The design is very nice-looking, and it can handle a very large load of coats. I put a coat on every hook (most of them heavy winter coats) with the tree standing on carpet, and it didn't so much as waiver. I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone a great bargain!!

Given that so many of the coat trees reviewed on Amazon received such dismal reviews (eg that a given coat tree would tip over if you hang more than a windbreaker on it), I wanted to share that I think this coat tree works quite well. I have not yet fully loaded it up, but I've hung several coats on it and have not yet had a problem. The only thing I don't love about it is that the base is a bit wobbly. But it still works fine. And given the cheap price and its ability to do the job, I think this is a great value.

This rack broke within 30 seconds of putting it together. The weld which attached the pole to the base failed.

Customer service rep called to ask to remove poor review and part will be replaced in two days. Am still waiting for part. Supposedly in the mail but given wrong ups tracking number. I almost never write negative reviews but I was soooooo disappointed with this item. The tablecloth is awful: if you order white, you get white-on-white with white tassles. If you order beige, you get beige on beige with beige tassles. The picture looks like off-white with gold patterns and gold tassles, but this tablecloth doesn't come close to resembling the picture. It looks old, not elegant. A huge disappointment.

I bought this tablecloth for its elegance and it looks gorgeous on my dinning room table. The reason why I gave it 4 stars was because I had to wash the tablecloth 4 times to get rid of the plastic smell it had. It reeked so much, that my sensitive sense of smell couldn't take it any longer and I began to feel nauseated.

After 4 washes in the washing machine, I finally got rid of the smell. If you have a sensitive nose, make sure you wash it thoroughly before using it. Otherwise, it's a beautiful table cloth and the stains come off very easily.

I contacted the seller on line and a new cloth was dispatched immediately with acceptable arrangements for me to return the imperfect one. I am very satisfied with the product and the customer service and my guests were very impressed with the table cloth.

nice napkins,ordered matching tablecloth as well. No unpleasant odor like other reviews stated,but recommend washing at least once to take out fold lines.
