South Shore Savannah Collection Nightstand, Pure White

I bought this nightstand and 4-drawer chest for my 9yo daughter. Everything arived very promptly, with no damage. It took a little time to put together, but if you know how to work a screwdriver and a hammer, it's a cinch. The drawers slide easily, and in my opinion it's a little better built than what is described by other reviews. We were expecting something versy flimsy, and while the drawer bottoms aren't solid wood panels, they're not cheap cardboard either. When put together they look very cute and my daughter loves them.

We think this night stand looks great and will be a perfect part of our new baby's room. Our only complaint while putting this piece together was the back board. There is not a lot of space to nail in the boards, so some of our nails made indents in the wood.

I would almost recommend using a staple gun to add the back board on to this night stand!

We have now ordered the changing table and we are planning to order the crib and dresser from South Shore.

The top was damaged, we had to package the whole nightstand up to return it. UPS picked it up with no problems. Seems like it would have been easier to just replace the damaged piece.

My husband is a competent DIY-er so this was pretty easy for him to put together--I think it took maybe 30 minutes or so. And it looks nice and feels pretty solid (better than IKEA, not as good as hand built)--at least solid enough for a nursery/little girl's room. I think it's just right for our purposes and the price isn't too bad (I'd rather spend a little more for more solid pieces).

I purchased this vanity for my bedroom, I am a 36 year old woman. This vanity is appropriate for a teenager at best! It looks miniature and ridiculous next to all my "adult" furniture. T

The quality is decent so I will keep for a few months or a year just so I can get my money's worth but in retrospect I wish I had bought a different, larger and more adult appropriate model.

Was a little smaller then I would have liked but other then that its very cute and durable. Its been hanging on my daughters door for about two months and hasnt fallen.

I bought these letters to spell out my daughter's name for her nursery. We decided not to hang anything around the crib area for safety reasons, and instead are using the so-called wall stickers. We purchased several wall decorative stickers, but these are the only letter stickers we could find on Amazon that fit what we needed.

These stickers are large in size and the design is very cute and appealing. However, they are not of the same quality as the rest of the wall stickers I have ordered from different manufacturers. You can visibly tell that these letters are stickers, while the other wall sticker items have the "painted-on" look to them and it is very difficult to tell they are merely stuck on the wall. Also, these are stickier than usual and will become unsuable after a couple of uses. Make sure you have the exact spot for them mapped out on the wall before you place them there, because numerous taking off attemps will lessen the glue and these will become unusable (even states this in instructions).

Overall, I would recommend these. The price is reasonable, although not cheap, and the design is cute. Also, it is okay for the nursery and gets the job done. However, do not expect the high quality of other wall decorations or the same look. If you expectations are on the low, you will be very satisfied.

Easy to put together and has the storage arrangement we needed, but the quality is not the greatest and it wobbles. It will need some external reinforcement to make it solid.

This was the second one as the first one ordered had mfg. defect. Amazon took care of it!

Slight cosmetic damage in shipment, assembly was easy but I recommend using your own tools and the not the supplied Allen wrench. Space is tight during assembly and you really have to torque the screws to pull everything together or it will be wobbly. I had to drill a small hole to attach one of the accent pieces on the right side, the one on the left was pre-drilled and really no big deal It looks fine with our without the little accent pieces.

The seat holds up to 200lbs and is comfortable while putting on shoes.

I would give it 4.5 stars.

It came slightly damaged. I know we could have returned it but this thing is heavy and the damage is mostly unnoticeable once put together. My the top right was broken slightly where the back lip is attached to top (the being where you would sit). He just gently hammered it back together and with a little stain, it will be unnoticeable.

The other problem is that it is so wobbly. He put it together as per the instructions but it wobbles a bit. Probably a little wood glue will fix the issue up. It is an attractive piece of furniture and does the trick for a place to sit down in our mudroom while putting on and removing shoes. But I couldn't give it 4 or 5 stars because of the way it came shipped and the fact that I wish it had gone together "tighter."

I bought this to have something in my doorway to place my shoes. Like others have said, it wobbles. It's not the greatest quality as the bench is not really meant for seating. The bracing is not great and it scares me to sit on as it bows. I only weigh 180lbs. When I first put pressure on the top with my hands it creaked and wobbled. I checked everything to ensure everything was tight, and it was. I even followed directions like a previous review stated. Looking for something just to hold your shoes and look good, go ahead and buy this product. Don't get high hopes and expect quality out of this though.

Nautica Pleasant Bay Quilt

Southern California, the days and nights during summertime can be very hot and cool at night. This quilt is an excellent weight for our type of weather and is well made. Colors tend to be on the cooler side and the reverse side of the quilt is a light lavendar. I ordered a king for a queen-sized mattress which makes the quilt cover very well. If wanting the shams, they will be extra, but a quality quilt such as this one, the shams are worth paying extra money. Washes well without shrinkage when using cold water wash and the colors do not bleed or fade. A good buy for the money!

I like it very much. Wish I had ordered the queen instaed of the twin. It would have covered my bed more.

B-007-RGT Granville 66-Inch Wood Veneer TV Bench, Deep Black

I found this unit on the Sonax site and waited for it to become available. The price was where I expected it to be ($3-400) as a larger/nicer unit in the Sonax line.

Prime shipping was great and the unit arrived on time. The exterior carton was protected by oversized cardboard guards on the long edges, and while there was some damage to the carton walls all the parts were intact. The single box shipping is rather heavy and some superficial damage is expected. If you want to move the full, unopened box plan to have a helper as it is long and weighs about 100lbs. Unpacking was uneventful other than the fact that the assembly instructions were located on the *bottom*, underneath all of the parts (yes the carton was opened right-side up).

The good:

-The assembly instructions were accurate, with good images and labels.

Tip: assemble the unit with cardboard under the ends and use that to help slide it into place, then remove the cardboard.

-The assembled piece feels strong enough to hold much more weight than just my TV and LR speakers.

-All three shelves are adjustable.

-The sliding doors move nicely with no squeaks or binding

Be sure to check and adjust the height of the doors before securing them I could not find an easy/quick way to get them off to adjust a slight cosmetic alignment issue.

-There are plastic feet on the bottom.

-The black color is nice, and you can see some of the wood grain.

I wouldn't really call it deep black. It is very dark, but has a bit of contrast next to my speakers and TV.

-The center shelf is built big enough to accomodate large center channel speakers such as the Pioneer SP-C21/22.

The mediocre:

-Assembly instructions underneath all the parts.

-The back panels have two decent sized holes cut for cables, but they really aren't big enough for all the cables into a receiver or a power conditioner.

Tip: If you choose to leave the backs off you won't really be able to see through the two side units with the sliding doors as your equipment and the doors will obscure the view.

If you do this be careful as the shelves can slide out the back when you try to place or reposition your equipment.

-The structure of the sliding doors is rather wide, making the window panes a bit small.

My cable box is positioned over the HT receiver and it it not really possible to read the clock or indicator LED's

-The open bottom design will be a trap for pet hair and dust bunnies underneath the unit.

I really don't have any bad points for this entertainment center. It is a good unit with lots of space, easily assembly, and subtle styling.

I spent about a month looking for TV stands that would fit my equipment and center channel speaker perfectly and on top of that look great and be of great quality. I finally settled on this after viewing stands from many manufactures and different websites. I looked at BDI but their prices are way to high for a TV stand. I found this brand while searching Amazon and decided to check out their website. Their website ( ) has many pictures and even better the dimensions of their products for every inch of their product which made picking the correct stand a great experience.

I got the stand in and it was packed really well, the box had very hard corner protectors making sure that the stand would stay damage free. As heavy as it was I was afraid it would arrive having damage but it arrived in perfect condition. Unpacking it was the most troublesome part due to how well it was packed to prevent scratching and damage. I used an electric screwdriver to put it together and took me about 2 hours.

The build quality is amazing and exceeded my expectations. Once everything was screwed into place and glued it was very sturdy, the front sliding doors are awesome and feel very well made. All 3 shelfs in each shelving area are adjustable by 3 positions which I wasn't expecting but it will make my equipment fit even better.

It maybe a little more expensive than other stands, but you get great quality, easy to put together and a fantastic looking tv stand for the price. I would recommend anyone looking to buy a TV stand pick this one up, you won't regret it.

This product when finished looks great. I placed mine under a 70" Aquos TV and it looks really good. Here are the issues that left it with only 4 stars. 1) Assembly. This item is extremely heavy (which is a good thing). The problem is that its so big that you really need a hand in assembly. I did it by myself and surely took way too much time in doing so. Aslo, in the instructions, a few pieces were the reverse of how it actually needed assembled. I guess thats a joke on us Americans by the Canadian mfr. Anyway it took 30 minutes longer still for me to assemble because I had to take several pieces back off because the finished edge faced the wrong side. 2) Second, I thought this unit had hinged doors, but instead its sliding doors.

I bought this unit to replace an $1,800 BDI unit that was destroyed in Superstorm Sandy. While I loved the BDI unit, this unit looks almost as good and less than 1/3 of the price. Overall the components are well made and the sliding glass doors work great. I highly recommend this unit.

It took me a little over 90 minutes to put the unit together myself. (Tip: Use a philips head screwdriver instead of the supplied allen wrench to tighten the cams much easier.)

Myspace Bush Farrago Table/Desk Top in Andora Finish with Classic Legs

Overall the table looks great and was easy to assemble. The top is starting to show slight wear, even though it's only used a couple times per week as a computer desk. The 'distress' is not necessarily bad looking, but it will happen. Also, while sturdy enough to hold my 24" iMac and computer accoutrement, the legs have some movement to them, even though they were screwed on very tightly. Likely will need some tightening along the way.

Based on the existing reviews of the bed, I was terrified to order it. Previous reviews offered points regarding the quality of construction that probably should have pushed me away from buying it sight-unseen.

However, I figured that if the cosmetic piece of the bed was solid (the fabric, mostly) I'd be able to correct any failings on the structural level on my own... and after all, any other somewhat comparable bed I'd seen to this point was running much closer to the $1500-$2000 price range.

Firstly, the bed arrived almost immediately (3-5 days after the order was completed). The shipment comes in two packages, so don't freak out if you only get the headboard or frame in the initial shipment... the rest of the assembly should be on its heels.

Secondly, there were little-to-no issues cosmetically or structurally with the bed. Only two small take-aways: a) one of the ten bed frame leg extenders did not fit correctly into the bottom of the leg b) the front of the bed frame where the two vertical, fabric sides meet the front, horizontal fabric sides... these pieces don't flush up perfectly, as they pull apart at the bottom by roughly 3/4 of an inch.

All told, I was pleasantly surprised by the product I received at a price point that was well below anything comparable you might find at a high end furniture store.

Beautiful, but terribly made product. We are VERY unhappy with this purchase and don't recommend it to anyone. The headboard is flimsy. The sides of the bed don't line up. One of the screws on the headboard got stuck and can't be tightened due to lodged wood chips from the drilled hole. Even though it was poorly made, we are not willing to pay the $60 return shipping charges when it's not our fault the product was so BAD. I wish they had a picture of the support underneath the mattress available before I had made my purchase. If I had known how cheaply it was made I never would've purchaed. DO NOT BUY!

Was hesitant to order the bed based on the negative reviews...but I figured it's a gorgeous bed, it's exactly what I want...so I may as well take a chance! Bed arrived a few weeks earlier than we thought which was a plus, and each part arrived undamaged. It also arrived in two different boxes, two different days. First the headboard and then rest of frame the next day. Don't know why, but I read that has happened to a few of you...so I just went with it.

Here are the negatives:

Self Assembly takes a certain amount of skill. (Thankfully my husband is GREAT with this sort of thing). If you or your husband are not handy, find a friend who is and pay him! It's worth it to get it put together right.

Instructions are VERY UNCLEAR my husband had to redo certain steps based on something being put on the wrong way, etc. My advice to you is, screw everything on loosely and then after everything fits correctly, tighten with power drill. Ikea instructions are better!! And that says a lot!

The frame wont flush correctly UNLESS you take the time to screw on loosely, have someone hold each corner and THEN tighten with power drill making sure each corner is flush and perfect. Takes a little more diligence but it can be done! Don't settle for corners on your bed that do not flush, they will drive you crazy!

NO EXTRA WASHERS/SCREWS this one was the most disappointing! How do you not include one or two extra washers or screws? We had one screw that was defective!!

Pro's:

It's a BEAUTIFUL bed.

A lot of you said there was a gap between the mattress and headboard...I didn't have this problem because I had a 9" box spring and 12" deep mattress. However if you have anything that measures less than what I just stated, you will have a gap.

Hope that helps! I couldn't wait to review the bed since there were so few reviews out there. Had instructions been clearer and came with extra hardware, it would have gotten the full 5 star rating.
