It wasn't all that easy to put together and they sent some wrong pieces I had to work around by adding my own screws but its a good bunk bed for the price and I like how low it is for my young children.

Husband had it together in 3 hours. The piece labeling stickers are very hard to get off, but they are small so its not too noticeable. Great new bunk bed for the price!

Coaster Bevelled Cheval Mirror in Cappuccino Finish

The mirror was delivered 10 days after the ship date which already put me in a bad mood before opening the box. I was worried about shipping a large mirror, but the packaging looked to be in good condition and I didn't hear anything rattling around.

However, when I opened up the box and attempted to lift the mirror out of the box, the frame separated from the glass. The cheap cardboard backing was so thin that the staples (yes, staples) ripped through the cardboard completely.

The color of the image on Amazon is misleading. This mirror frame is not as dark as the image suggests. It is more of a dark brown than a cappuccino.

I tried to contact the seller first when the item was late and got no response. Then after I took the item out of the box and the mirror separated from the frame I sent another email and got not response. Ultimately, I like the look of the mirror and the size is exactly what I need so I have chosen to have the frame repaired here.

Beware.

Great packaging and a beautiful mirror. However, mirror is mounted on a thin masonite backing that is stapled to the back of the frame. After unpacking the mirror and leaving it leaning against a wall awaiting mounting, the masonite tore loose from the frame and allowed the mirror to fall out. Customer service was great and will send a new mirror out in a few days and will pay for free return shipping of the damaged mirror. If you order the mirror, I would suggest unpacking it and immediately getting a strong piece of wood the size of the back of the frame and screwing it on the back to hold the mirror in the frame.

Lift Top Storage Bench

I was hard pressed to find a leather-like ottoman of a decent length without spending a fortune. This fit the bill! The material and stitching are good quality upon arrival, and the legs were extremely easy to attach. The hinges lock into place when opened, which is a nice feature for our young children. I even stuck my finger in the crack on the side where the hinges are, shut the lid, and did not get a bad finger smash! (I know, crazy mother testing all situations). I wish the ottoman was a little wider, but I knew that when I ordered it. It looks great in our family room and wil hold many toys and blankets over the years!!

We bought this ottoman after doing a lot of research and every reasonably-priced one we found seemed cheaply made. But this one is beautiful! We are thrilled with our purchase and our 10-month old son loves it too. We use it as a toy box, ottoman and coffee table, putting a wooden try on it when company comes over for plates or glasses.

We store our son's toys in it, and it's deep enough to hold a lot of them! The top will stay up so his fingers don't get caught or slammed while he's pulling out his toys. I love that I can just throw the scattered toys in it in 2 seconds, close the lid and the living room looks great again!

Also, as an ottoman, it's wonderful. The material is great quality and goes back into shape after resting your feet... so no permanent indents. Haven't tried sitting on it yet, but I think it would be fine. I will say that the color was darker than I'd expected. It is a very very dark brown, almost black. Very easy to put together, great looking piece, highly recommended!

This looked nice when I first put it together, but after only about a year of use, the polyurethane coating on the bicast leather began to peel off, littering little brown flakes all over my living room. Now it's ugly and making a mess. If you need an ottoman that will last more than a year, don't buy this one.

I was looking for a non-ugly container for the mountains of baby toys taking over my living room that could possibly be used after my baby grows up. This ottoman was perfect to hold everything. The hinge holds the lid up if you open it enough, meaning that there's little potential for slamming on baby's fingers. The top and sides are soft and padded, so I don't have to worry about my little one knocking his teeth out on a hard coffee table. It is sturdy enough for me to sit on.

The only downsides are that the top isn't flat (there's a slight curve as would be expected with any upholstered item) and there was a strong vinyl-y smell which went away after a few days of airing out.

Overall it's what I expected, except for the color. When I originally saw the item on Ashley's website it was brown leather. When it arrived the leather was a dark brown, almost black. I was upset because the color didn't match my other furniture I have in the North Shore collection. I thought maybe it'll blend in, but it didn't. My wife had a genius idea of placing pillows on the bench to throw off the color and it worked perfectly. She now loves it and if she's happy, I'm happy. Full/Double 12 drawer Tall Platform Storage Bed

This item arrived with parts missing. Contacted manufacturer (Prepac) and was told that I would have to pay extra for missing parts. Refused and finally they agreed to send the parts. Took two weeks! Bed was difficult to assemble. Final product nice, but wouldn't have purchased had I known the difficulty I would have.

I purchased this bed and found that it was easy to assemble. It took me an afternoon to assemble, but the instructions are clear. There are a good number of screws, as I expected. So a power screwdriver is a plus but not a necessity. You will also need a small hammer for some small nails that keep the bottom of the drawers from sliding back. The shipment came in two boxes. One is about 90 lbs, so you will need help moving it. The contents are well packed but one of my boxes was damaged during shipment which resulted some minor damage to the headboard. I called Prepac (on a Saturday) and was greeted by an employee who is shipping a replacement part free since the product comes with a 5 year warranty. The bed is made of composite wood (which I expected) and the bed is well engineered. I recommend assembling the bed reasonably close to where it will be used as possible. The only difficulty I had was making sure that the bolts attaching the headboard to the frame were not cross threaded. If a bolt starts to offer excessive resistance after a few turns, remove it and try again or reverse the JNR (nut)and try again. The bolt should go in most of the way using your fingers. I was able to avoid more serious problems by doing this. The bed is heavy so don't expect to pushed it around easily on carpet. My son loves the bed and it has a large amount of storage space saving space in his room. The drawers open and close fine and are on metal sliders. It takes a standard twin size mattress and is more attractive than it appears in the photo. I shopped for this bed on the internet and found it selling for several hundred dollars more (yes it was the very same bed) and I saved a bundle on the free shipping.

This bed is well priced, nice looking and functional. However, while we were putting it together some peices of partical board broke off around where the screws went. Fortunatly the breaks are on the inside of the bed so they can't be seen, but it does weaken the frame. One more thing is to make sure you have a thin matress to go on the top as the head and foot boards are rather low.

Only one of two boxes arrived. The customer service number (for Prepac Manufacturing) on the instructions in the one box we did get was no longer working. The parts we did receive were very scratched up and in poor condition. I ended up contacting Amazon to return the item (try repacking all the parts in a very large, heavy, damaged box...). Definitely do not recommend.

Still putting this together...the timelines in the instructions were not written for the intermediate do-it-yourselfer. The bed is what I expected, but some of the pieces are rather cheaply built. I find myself telling my daughter that when the back of the drawer breaks, we'll buy some stronger board to nail in place of the piece that came with the set. That pieces feels like a piece of foam covered with plastic. It's only a matter of time before she overstuffs the drawer and it's going to crack. On the other hand, the wood slats where the mattress fits over seem sturdy enough. Nevertheless, we purchased some metal brackets to screw in underneath them where the panels that hold the drawer runners connect to the edges of the bedframe.

My daughter (age 21) loves it, though, and it will serve us well for the price we paid. I give the bed a Bfor functionality and overall worth.

Step One Headboard

The headboard itself looks great. The only flaw I could say is that after I attached it to my "metal" bedframe it still is not tight and solid. It moves too freely for me. Also there were no screws to use, I had to purchase those on my own. Now if you have a wooden bed frame maybe the headboard might fit tighter so it won't move as much. But overall I'm very happy with how the headboard looks and will solve the movement problem down the line.

This headboard is gorgeous. The finish is beautiful, the style is elegant, and it's just tall enough to be commanding without dominating the room. It isn't particularly sturdy, though. BUT that was easy to fix.

Be wary of the screws included. There are two sets of 4 screws that are almost identical, and silly me got them swapped. I put the longer ones on the bottom of the headboard itself, leaving the too-short ones to attach it to the bed frame. Also, if you do what I did, you risk the screws poking through. So follow the instructions carefully.

Anyway, I realized that even with the right screws, it wouldn't be very well attached to the frame. So, I purchased a couple small L-brackets and attached those to the posts and the bed frame. Et voila, it is perfect!

Be careful to use the right screws in the right places, and consider using L-brackets for added stability, but it's a beautiful headboard!

Looked great on the website and the price was good, but I had several disappointments with this item. The headboard did not have all of the necessary bolts, several of the outside facing pieces did not have vanier so I had to manualy paint them, many of the outward facing bolts did not come with caps to cover the bolts. Poor quality, poor workmanship, do not buy this item.

instructions was the worst (relatively) of all the south shore furniture items I bought (platform bed, side table, 6 drawer dresser), illustrations are slightly different from the actual items, but it is simple enough to figure out

the design is bad, pretty heavy and tall, attaches using only 4 smallish screws to the bed at the bottom. It will sway a lot if not resting against a wall, I added some foam boards in between this and the wall to stabilize

it will probably not be advisable to remove and re-attach during moving since it screws directly into the particle board (I wished it had bolts and nuts instead)

I would probably just buy the bed if I had to do this again

Streamline Duck Talking Alarm Clock

Drawback #1 If you want to set the alarm at 7pm for the next morning, the alarm time needs to be about 6:30 or earlier. If you get too close to the actual time, then the alarm goes off as you are holding it.

Drawback #2 there is no volume control.

My six-year-old daughter loves this clock, and always makes sure it's by her bed at night. During the day, she often uses it in play. The quacking is very loud and satisfying, but we don't use it as an alarm clock, so I can't review that element of its function. My only complaint is that the batteries died within a few days.

LPGI Sonata Arctica Iced Fabric Poster, 30 by 40-Inch

First off, I'm a huge Sonata Arctica fan... hence my purchasing of the 30 x 40 fabric poster. The fabric poster is everything that a paper poster is. It is colorful, detailed, and an amazing addition to anyone's collection. There is one detail that sets a fabric poster apart from a paper poster... and that is just it.. its fabric. I can't tell you how many times I've had paper posters rip from tape and/or trying to remove puddy off of the back of the poster. With paper its only a matter of when it will tear, not if it will tear. In my humble opinion, paper posters need to be left for the history books and everyone needs to transition to fabric. There's no more damage from removing tape from a fabric poster than there is from removing tape from your shirt. Storing a fabric poster for transit is also much easier... it's as simple as folding a shirt and putting it in a box. With paper, there is always the constant worry of grotesque folding/bending/tearing scars that come with rolling the poster up into a tube and praying it doesn't get destroyed on the way. Another great thing, is that this fabric poster was larger than most posters i've seen for the same price. For all those interested in this item, this poster does SA justice. Its a great buy

When I first got the table I wasn't sure I liked it. It doesn't look quite the same as the picture although similar. After having it for a few days, I now absolutely love it. I thought it was great price and I had been without a coffee table for 3 years so I am very happy. It was also easy to assemble.

Fantasy Palace 4-Poster Bed Canopy

After putting this "Palace" Casablanca Sheer Bed Canopy/Sheer Mosquito Netting up over my bed, my Princess Sasha cat thought this made a very nice tent and promptly took her place under the canopy and thought I had put this netting up just for her. Well, all was good and fine until she decided to see what it tasted like and was chewing on one corner.

Fortunately, she learns fast and it only took me saying "no" twice for her to realize this was not a product she should be chewing on. If you have small kittens, this might be a problem to consider. There are ways to arrange the netting so it is far above the ground. In fact, I seem to adjust this entire setup daily to suit my mood.

Sometimes I have all the eight panels tied up around the bed like a four-poster bed and then at other times I get creative and pull the end four panels together, twirl them and fold them up over the top. This creates an interesting effect and it looks like a palace bed. Then, there are times when I want to feel like I'm living in some romantic location on the globe and I let all the sheer panels float about the bed. It creates a very romantic environment and I like how the sheer netting can create exotic moods.

I have been very happy with this purchase and it only took about 10 minutes to install. You simply screw in the four hooks provided with the product. Then, you unfold the netting and hook it up on the ceiling.

They don't provide air conditioning or window screens here and I am not going through summer with the windows closed. So I bought 2 of these in white; one for my queen size bed and one for my daughter's twin size bed. They are great!

I did find that because these are made for king size beds, they gapped at the ends where the fabric drooped. I solved the problem with my daughter's by taking the excess tie length and tying it between the hooks at each end. Then I took a white plastic clothes pin and pinned the end seams to the ties. It not only closed the gaps but raised the top of the canopy a little more away from the bed.

The gaps at the ends of my bed are much narrower so I just pull them closed and tuck the edge of the netting under my matteress.

I recently received my order for the Casablanca Palace Four Poster Bed Canopy and I got it in the shade of Ecru. I have a king size bed with four posters and the rungs across the top of the canopy frame and this Palace canopy is perfect for the bed. I just put each of the 4 loops under the bedpost knob at the top of the canopy post and it reaches great. I love the way it looks and you can have it all the way down or have it twisted or tied up. There's endless possiblities with how you want it to look. I love how the fabric is very light and meshy so that it still lets light through it and doesn't darken the room. I was afraid that it would make our room dark having a canopy curtain but it's perfect. I can see how it would be too much for a twin or double bed because it fits our king bed perfectly and the fabric even touches the ground when it's all the way down and our bed is very high up and the canopy frame is super tall (about 87 inches tall). Long story short, great product great price and it looks absoluetely beautiful on my bed!

I read through all of the reviews of this product first, before purchasing it, and when I received the item, I took all of the other buyers problems into consideration--I disagree with a lot of them. First of all, this is basically like a one size fits all kind of product. You can readjust the loops and just hang the actual fabric itself from the hooks and then pin it up in the middle of all four sides and voila, it fits perfect to your bed. I even have a sloped ceiling, and it still works perfect for me and looks cute as well. I'd also like to note, that it doesn't say that it's made out of mosquito netting. It just says it's functional for small insects and it seems to do the job just fine for me.

This product also helps me feel very relaxed. I love going to bed underneath it and waking up there as well. It's a very modern decoration and makes my room feel larger to me, which is a major plus, considering my bedroom is small. The only downfall I found with this item is that it attracts kittens. I have two cats who are kept in my room when I'm not home, and they like to pull it down and climb up it, but although they do this almost everyday, they have only inflicted two tiny wholes in the fabric.

All in all, I am very pleased with this purchase. I recommend it to any others considering buying it, it is definitely worth the $30, especially considering the price of most other 4 post canopy's.

I saw the photo and thought I was getting a bright blue, you know, "sky blue" as the item states. Nope, got the package and right there on the packaging it stated "Slate Blue" which is a nice grey/blue color, but not what I expected. The kicker, they slapped on an Avery label that said "Sky Blue", like that was going to make a difference.

These are much lighter blue than in the picture. I would call that a baby blue. In fact, when I put them up in my living room, I thought to myselfThis looks like a baby boy's room now. They are very good quality for the price. They don't have that organza shimmer that I maybe wishfully saw in the picture here. Not a bad product, just not at all what I was expecting.

Despite my complaints I still give these curtains 4 stars because of the quality for the dollar. You pay what you get for I suppose. They are not too bad. I just cut the fraying strings off and hung them up and they look quite nice and not cheap at all.

HOWEVER: in the curtains I received the color is very off from the picture. This picture says "sky blue" however the curtains I received were listed as "slate blue" which is a bit grayer and I'm still currently sitting here and looking at the windows still trying to decide whether they match my room.

I'm a bit disappointed by the color turnout but regardless this was still a pretty good purchase.

The head bored was exactly what we wanted and expected! Great product! The book case storage is extremely convienant when in bed with your little one bc you can just reach over abd grab the books u need :)

This product is made to fit the matching platform bed. It is NOT easily compatible with a standard metal bedframe. This is rather unclear from the product description. The attachment points are on the inside of the legs, so it ends up being fully 16 inches too narrow for attachment to a metal bedframe. It is also about a foot lower than your standard headboard.

The product itself isn't particularly glamorous. The brand seems to be traditionally sold at Walmart, and the quality is what you'd expect: low-quality particleboard with a decent veneer. Without being attached to the bed structure, it is rather wobbly. I suspect it would not be very steady even if you purchased it with the intended platform bed.

I would advise would-be buyers to reject this out of hand if they are not also looking at the platform bed, and think twice if they are. I suspect a pine ikea-type bed would be a better, cheaper investment.
