Allure Headboard in Ebony

The head bored was exactly what we wanted and expected! Great product! The book case storage is extremely convienant when in bed with your little one bc you can just reach over abd grab the books u need :)

This product is made to fit the matching platform bed. It is NOT easily compatible with a standard metal bedframe. This is rather unclear from the product description. The attachment points are on the inside of the legs, so it ends up being fully 16 inches too narrow for attachment to a metal bedframe. It is also about a foot lower than your standard headboard.

The product itself isn't particularly glamorous. The brand seems to be traditionally sold at Walmart, and the quality is what you'd expect: low-quality particleboard with a decent veneer. Without being attached to the bed structure, it is rather wobbly. I suspect it would not be very steady even if you purchased it with the intended platform bed.

I would advise would-be buyers to reject this out of hand if they are not also looking at the platform bed, and think twice if they are. I suspect a pine ikea-type bed would be a better, cheaper investment.
