Baker Rack with Slate Inlaid in Dark Bronze Finish

This item was everything I expected (and more!). The box arrived in good shape (via FedEx) and all the parts and pieces were all included. Each piece was packed VERY WELL (esp the glass shelves). Very easy to put together and very sturdy. The largest glass shelf supports our new microwave with no problem. I have this rack in our bar area of the family room and it looks even better than pictured. We have other furniture in the room with slate accents and this piece matches perfectly! I am a very satisfied customer...and I will order from this company again!

I put this together over the weekend. One person, 45 minutes with breaks for changing the music on the ipod, fiddling with the stereo and retrieving the bolts from my cat. The fasteners they give you come in a little baggie of bolts. There's no cardboard backed plastic container with labels, just a little red plastic bag of bolts. No extras so you'd better find any you drop or that the cat runs off with. They must coat these with used french fry oil because whenever I turned my back my cat would be running off with one in his mouth.

Though it goes together well and I had few issues doing it myself, the instructions are laughable. They consist, in their entirety of one page with four pictures in various stages of assembly. There are no written instructions whatsoever. If these guys made a guide to learning to play the flute it would say, "Blow in one end and move your fingers up and down the holes. There! You're playing the flute!"

Just remember this to save some time and headaches. Put it all together but don't tighten it all up until you're finished or you'll have to loosen bolts for it to fit together.

Now for the measurements! Is there anything more annoying than the vague measurements they provide? I wanted to know what would fit in each shelf. So here are the assembled measurements. I rounded down to the next 1/4" so if it read 16 3/8", I'll give it as 16 1/4".

Starting from the floor to the bottom shelf/rack to the bottom of wine rack, then from the top of the wine rack shelf to the bottom of the 'middle' shelf, then from the top of the 'middle' shelf to the bottom of the top shelf;

From ground to bottom of (lowest) bottom shelf/rack 7"

(Top of) Lowest shelf/rack to bottom of wine rack 19 1/4"

(Top of) Wine rack shelf to bottom of next 'middle' shelf 15 1/2"

Choose your vendor wisely. I was ready to buy and one vendor who provided free shipping was out of stock. I went with the next vendor and paid about $35 more. The next day the cheaper vendor had stock again. Shipping took a while but it arrived unscathed. Still pleased with purchase.

Although it's listed as a brown finish, it's so close to black as to be negligible. I actually love this rack, I'm just annoyed that the finish is SO cheap, it scuffs off if you sneeze at it. It came damaged on the top, looks like it got banged pretty hard in shipping, and it took off a chunck of the top post but I just took a little spray paint to it and you can't even tell now. It looks like it would be one of those flimsy metal racks that wobbles constantly, but it's not at allit sits very still and it's got a lot of space. THe wine rack only holds the narrowest of wine bottles, so don't count on it holding all "regular" sized wine bottles...Mirrasou fits, but Jargon doesn't, and to my eye they're the same size. Odd. But it'll hold 15 wine glasses (!) and the slate is gorgeous. I would buy it again.

This is a cute set but definitely cheaply made. The back of the drawers separate from the rest of the drawer all the time. Not fun to have all the drawer contents dump onto the floor on a regular basis. And, I've had no response from the company about the broken chair leg. I wrote them over a month ago. Not really worth the price.

Couch looks really good set up, but the frame is a bit on the weak side. If you have kids or pets, make sure they sit still on it I don't think it will stand up to much abuse. The cushions were a little stiffer then I guessed they would be from the picture, but with use I guess they will soften up some. It's a decent value for the price, with the chaise, couch and ottoman included.

I've bought two of these atomic clocks. The first, a 12" wood framed model, soon stopped keeping accurate time and started acting unpredictably. The second, this model, has been on my wall for a week and is keeping good time after an easy setup: insert battery, push EST button.

I am nicking it a star because it makes a noticeable tick sound in a quiet room, making it inappropriate for a bedroom.

[Update: The clock has functioned well for nearly 3 years with a battery change per year.]

I purchased this as a present. Less than a month later, I went to wrap it, and found that most of the face of the clock had come unglued from its backing. There seems to be a quality control problem at the LaCrosse factory. I contacted the LaCrosse customer service satff about the problem and they wanted me to pay for shipping for warranty repair even though it was new. Fortunately I bought it through Amazon and they were responsive enough to pay for its return. Don't think I'll ask for a replacement.

The face is made of paper and is poorly glued on causing ripples and warping.

Although under normal cirumstances it receives a signal and adjusts to the signal properly, IT DOES NOT ADJUST FOR DST, thus making the clock virtually useless now. If you live in other time zones other then EST, you could at least choose a different time zone to compensate; if you live in the EST time zone you are SOL. Other than the DST issue clock has been very accurate.

Update: La Crosse sent out new clocks to replace the ones that did not adjust for DST because of the new date changes. Any company that does this is tops in my book. Changing rating to four stars.

Have had it for a couple weeks so far. Setup was a snap. Immediately picked up a signal and set itself. Have checked it periodically against NIST time. Has remained accurate to within seconds (so far). The rim is a dull silver that nicely picks up ambient colors. The mechanism protrudes from the back so the clock sits about an inch or so from the wall.

I wanted a modern looking clock for my new apartment. It looks amazing. It is made of sturdy glass, which should be a plus, but it makes the clock very heavy. This is our second Karlsson Clock. In general they have a very modern look to them one of the few products where the image online is a close visual approximation to the look of the clock itself. In hand, the materials used are very light-feeling; this is interesting because visually the glass/plastics used appear to much more expensive.

Wide Width Grommet Top Thermal Blackout Curtain 80"W X 84"L Panel - BWW

I purchased three beige panels, two of them had dirt on them. One of them was ~3/4" longer than the other two and the color didn't match with the other two. I didn't really quite understand why two of them had brown dirt on them about 3x5 inches wide, why one was longer than the other two, and why the color didn't match.

They have a very poor return policy. Item must be in original package, NOT OPENED, and not used. How do they expect me not to open the package? Am I suppose to use my psychic power to see if these curtains are defective?

I ended up keeping all three of them since I can't return them. I had to wash and spray shout on the two curtains that had dirt on them.

They are definitely NOT blackout curtain, maybe room darkening.

I will upload some pictures so you can judge it yourself, including "Blackout" curtain quality.

Ordered several sets of these, burgundy, navy and chocolate. Got the burgundy first prior to ordering others, based on the negative reviews. [....] carries these as well, but they were less expensive here but you can read more reviews there. These were really the only wide ready-mades i could find for our windows, so we took a chance. I think dark is the way to go, as I noticed a couple of very minor defects in (one of four panels) of burgundy, but no one would ever be able to tell unless they studied my curtains. I think defects would be more noticeable in beige per the negative review. I didn't see any defects in the chocolate or navy but didn't inspect too much. The chocolate is not dark brown, it is a medium brown and looks like the picture. I like the navy color better in person than via the picture, it is more dark than I expected. The burgundy also looks better in person, but the colors of all do change depending on the light, so it can look fushia in some light, but when closed they look burgundy. They go good with our brown blanket and dark Ikea dresser. As far as room darkening, all 3 make the room very dark. Perhaps beige (per the bad review) is too light to darken, but the dark colors do a great job. If you have the dough, or can't find a color that works, hire a local company and get them perfect, but pay 6x the price or more. If you're on the fence, give them a try, Amazon will always take them back. I paid $45.99 for the first set, then the price went up $5. These are made in China.

Our housing developer used large windows that meet none of the requirements for standard size curtains.

This is our 3rd set of curtains. This one is just one panel and we had to purchase two panels in order to cover the width of the kitchen window and allow for enough material to gather.

Kitchen:

The kitchen widow is 108Wx60H in order to have enough gather we purchased two of these panels 80"W X 84"L It covers the area well allowing for enough gather to allow the pleats to fall as they should, rather than looking like a stretched out sheet.

Nothing else is used to block sunlight and control the temperature. It works very well.

The other two windows had two panels per package and that was sufficient for our needs. See below:

Office:

The length of the window is a problem here if we used that room as the formal living room area it was designed to be. We use the room as an office and the window faces due West making it an unbearable room to be in during the summer. The length of the curtains touches the windowsill and that is good enough for that particular window since there is a credenza that takes up the entire window's length and it is preferable to have them shorter than hitting the ground.

We have a set of plantation blinds that we decided to leave in and use the curtains to additionally block sunlight and heat since facing due West makes it unpleasant to work in that room and the brightness (even with the plantation blinds) is unbearable and gives me migraine headaches.

NOTE: If we did not have this setup we would have requested a longer version as we did with the ones for the slider by contacting the seller directly. *See below*

Slider:

window size: Our slider to the backyard is 96x72 We contacted the seller and were told we could have curtains made to whatever length we wanted. We received the curtains and are very pleased with the results. Nothing else is used between the glass and the curtains and they block the sun and heat very well. Due East facing windows -

Material:

Lightweight, drapes well, washes beautifully, no shrinkage or damage from grommets to the curtains or to the machines. Tumble dry is more than sufficient and we hang them up as soon as they come out of the dryer.

We bought the 3 sets at different times and found no color variations between all sets.

Light Block:

Will not turn your room into a cave, but if your bedroom and kitchen (large breakfast area) is like ours, facing due East, you will be very happy with these since they block the sunlight and keep the heat out beautifully. I venture to guess that the light is cut by 90% and depending on how high you install your rods, you might get better coverage.

Other reviews have claimed that the darker colors keep more light out. We only have the cream color ones and this is our experience with these.

Temperature Control:

Huge difference! The East facing side of the house stays cooler during the summer and warmer in the winter.

The West facing window (office) is now possible to work there without feeling we are working in a sauna and getting headaches from the intensity of the light.

Conclusion:

I recommend the seller, Amazon, and the quality of the curtains.

I saw a few negative reviews and a few positive reviews with this product and I decided to take a risk. I ordered the dark blue curtain to hang in my living room. The first two curtains arrived and were eagerly hung. The color was beautiful; they were thick and appeared well sewn. My issue was they were two different lengths. One measured 82" and the other 84." This doesn't work on the same window. Thinking it was a fluke, I returned the shorter curtain and then ordered a new curtain (exchange is not an option so I am still waiting for the first curtain to be refunded). The replacement curtain arrived and again, the length was incorrect. This one was 85.5" long. So I am going to get out the sewing machine and shorten it to match, but what are the odds that 3 curtains all have different lengths? I suspect quality control is missing it's mark, as these are made in China. I would order another, but who knows if it would be the advertised 84" length. This being said, the room is noticeably warmer with these curtains which was my goal.

11/13/2012 A year later and I am over my initial frustration with the length issues. I do really like these curtains for heat retention and the grommets at the top seem to be decent quality. For all their use, they are still looking nice. If you can sew, then these may be nice.

I purchased these curtains in beige for my screened in porch last December (2011) and love them so much I've decided to upgrade the living room curtains with these. I have beige and when I have all three of them closed, there is no light coming in at all! They also provide some "sound barrier" quality as well and retain heat IN very well. I love to sit on my screened in porch in the winter and I'll close the side the wind is coming in on and turn on a space heater! I stay toasty while watching a scarry moving in my darkened room (I leave one side open so that I can enjoy the outside, just not the wind, noise from the road, and retain some heat. I'm buying these for my living room as I wanted to watch a movie over the weekend during the day and couldn't get the room dark enough. I bought this bed so I could have the added benefit of the extra draw space-it is made well and looks great! It's like buying a bed,a bureau and a night stand all at once with it taking up the space of a bed! Yah no vacuuming under the bed anymore. The directions to put it together were good only error I saw was a picture had the predrilled hole in the wrong place but easy step by step directions. It took me a while to put it all together since I bought the headboard too so give yourself plenty of time and best to have a screwgun handy. If I had to make a recommendation, I'd say that the headboard should come with a couple of "bumpers" to allow a space between the headboard and the bed because if you push the bed up tight to the headboard the first drawer hits the trim when opened so an inch or so between the two is needed, with hardwood floors the bed can slide into the headboard without something to hold the space-I added my own. Nice simple, practical bed!

I have no doubt that this product is great and looks great as well. However, the service of the company, Moshya Home Furnishings, is by far the worst I have ever had to deal with in my life. I ordered the headboard a couple of weeks ago and received a vanity with a stool and a mirror on a Friday. A vanity which is far from being a headboard. I called the company and received the voicemail box of a T-mobile cell phone. I called another number only to receive another voicemail. I contacted amazon who contacted a representative from Moshya Home Furnishings whose name was Dillon. Dillon was fairly nice but decided to make irrelevant comments such as, "Sir, the item was delivered ahead of schedule." Dillon, it doesn't matter how fast the item shipped if it was the wrong item. The representative had a head board sent to my home very quickly on the following Monday, however it was once again the wrong item. I then had to contact Amazon in order to contact Moshya Home Furnishings again. Once again the representative was rude and promised I would receive the item on 12-12-12. Here it is 12-13-12 and FedEx has nothing on record of the correct item being shipped to me and I'm stuck with the wrong headboard taking up space in my home. I've tried contacting them through numerous phone calls and emails and still havne't received a reply. It seems to me that it could be possible that their customer service department doesn't exist and one man carries a cell phone around that he chooses to answer whenever he pleases. So here I am, a couple of weeks before Christmas with a couple hundred dollars less in my pocket with the wrong product. I would advise people to stay away from ordering from Moshya Home Furnishings as it is very much not worth the headache. For those of you who have ordered from the company and are happy with their service, You got lucky and I envy you.

I was nervous to purchase a headboard online, but this was such a good deal, I couldn't pass it up. Nice quality stitching and the bicast leather is perfect. Cleans up easily with just water. Doesn't show fingerprints like some cheap leathers can. The color is brown and extends through down the legs. It was easy to assemble and attach (less than 20 minutes) to our bed frame. Nice to lean up against to read a book or watch TV in bed.

Super easy to put together and looks expensive. We went looking for beds at upper end retail stores but couldn't find any leather I liked that didn't show scratches. The cheaper leather was shiny and looked like vinyl. I was leery to purchase this since it's not something that would be easy to return. Though I think the legs look cheap because they're wrapped like a present and not connected to the wood they encase, you can't see the legs when it's assembled. It doesn't feel as nice as the ones that are more expensive, but for the money, I can live with not having the most supple feeling leather. I doubt you can find a better value if this is the style headboard you have in mind. Also bought the matching bench for the foot of the bed. Very happy with our purchases!

Enough people gave this product good reviews that I ordered it. I'm sure if I ever end up with the complete product I might have good things to say about it. Nearly 2 weeks after the last date they said it would arrive by, I finally received it. Inside the box was the headboard and two legs... that's it. No instructions, and no hardware to attach them. The outside of the box said "instructions included" so I imagine there's probably a bag that had the instructions and hardware that I simply didn't receive. I've written them various times about not receiving it, and they finally did get it to me, so let's hope they eventually come through and send me the rest of the product. Traditional Style Black Finish Daybed with Trundle

I purchased this daybed and trundel, was a little disappointed because it isn't really black. More brown in it than what I was expecting by color discription. But with the exception of having to paint it the rest is all good. Went together a lot faster than expected. Made with heavy materials. I can see kids jumping and climbing on it and not leaving a mark. Have seen a lot of daybeds in this price range in land stores......they were just junk. This one will last a life time. To get the quality of materials that this bed is made of would have cost 4 or 5 times what I paid for it here. Even the hardware used to put it together is quality. All in all very happy with my purchase of daybed.

It is cracked in several places, the wood appears warped, the trundle doesn't fit properly, there is glue where there shouldn't be and paint is missing where it should be. I contacted the company and received a reply in an amazing 30 minutes. They have been in contact with me several times during the past week, and their willingness to work with me on this is impressive, but the issue is still not resolved. They have not yet found replacement parts for all the damaged sections. I am hopeful this can be resolved satisfactorily as I like the bed and am not looking forward to packing it up to return it.

UPDATE: I RECEIVED THE REPLACEMENT PARTS BUT THE LARGEST PIECE WAS DAMAGED AS WELL. AFTER HAVING TWO DAMAGED DELIVERIES, I WILL BE RETURNING THIS DAY BED. I HAVE CONTACTED THE COMPANY AND AM WAITING TO HEAR FROM THEM WITH REGARD TO THIS MATTER. OVERALL, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ORDERING THIS BED.

I purchased this exact daybed & trundle from a furniture store in Sacramento. I was actually able to see it in person before purchasing it. I love the fact that it has the trundle since I was looking for a bed w/ either a trundle or a bunkbed.

I will say that once we actually placed the mattress on the top there was about a 2-3 inch gap, either against the back or the front (depending on which way you push the mattress). We bought an inexpensive mattress so I'm not sure if that will make a difference. For the time being I just rolled a full size blanket and stuffed it in the back so my 3 year old doesn't get stuck while he's sleeping.

I currently use the tundle as additional storage & will eventually put the cheaper mattress down there when we are ready to upgrade.

I ordered two daybeds from the Visiondecor. After receiving them, I realized their sizes were too big for my room. I called Visiondecor, CA from Massachusetts for return and they accepted them back. I have not seen such a nice treatment from any other company.

Since my grandson moved in with us, we needed a place for him to sleep. Unfortunately, the bed isn't quite as long as he is (over 6') but he makes it work. We use the trundle part as a chest of drawers for his clothes so it's like we got two pieces of furniture for the price of one.

I was at work when he and his mother elected to assemble the daybed. It was altogether when I got home and they said they only ran into a few glitches, but it all came together in the end. Looks great, too!

Everyone is happy especially me because the price fit my budget.

The list price on this product is $48, but I paid $9.99 when it was on sale. For $9.99, I was thrilled with what I got. It's a nice print, nice frame, sturdy enough. However, if I had paid $48 I would have been extremely disappointed. While the size and quality is great for ten bucks, it's just not worth almost $50. Depending on how thickly your pockets are lined, you may want to wait for this particular product to go back on sale. If it does, it's a great deal!

EDIT: People have asked, so just in case you need the measurements, the frame is 9 1/2" by 11 1/2". The print inside is much smaller because of the mat.

It was just what I was looking for and needed. Product was exactly as described above. Would recommend to others.

You may be able to buy the print and frame slightly cheaper, but these were really nice, and literally ready to hang. They were packaged exceptionally well to protect them during shipping. They look great on a small wall space and the framing is seamless.

I would've expected better quality buying a frame for a dollar store. I paid nearly $8 and received a frame with no hanging tags (so it can only stand, not be hung up). The "fur-like" fabric was poorly made and didn't hold the zebra stripes solidly to look like anything other than fuzzy black blobs. Other than the actual quality of the frame, it arrived with the glass inside broken already. It was returned right away for a refund. Not that I would've done it, but the company doesn't even offer exchanges, I guess that just means that they are confident in the consistency of their inferior product.
