the product is as advertised. I had hoped that the steel brackets were a little more substantial. but over they look good.

the shelf is totally adequate for my use, but is rather cheaply made. Certainly could not support any substantial weight. But for the price it is a decent deal

This bed is an amazing value, looks stunning and the headboard is very practical.

Pros:

+ 100% solid wood, there are no particle board parts.

+ The finish is beautiful and seems durable.

+ The lights in the headboard are awesome, they go from very dim to bright enough to be used for reading and are controlled by a touch-switch on one side of the bed..

+ The storage compartments in the headboard are very useful. They are perfect for holding a glass of water, books, remotes or anything else you want to have quick access to while in bed.

+ Assembly is relatively easy and only took about 30 minutes. It does help to have two people but you could probably do it with one if needed.

+ The price of this bed including free shipping is incredible. This bed probably costs thousands in furniture stores.

+ Comes with slats and screws to secure them so the slats will not move or fall out the bottom like they do on some other beds.

+ Overall the construction quality of the bed seems to be very good.

+ Made in Malaysia, not China.

+ No smell or fumes at all.

It would have been nice to have a touch-switch for the lights on both sides of the bed.

The way the headboard is bolted on to it's "legs" doesn't seem to be very strong. It's bolted through two small blocks of wood which are glued onto the headboard and legs. One of these blocks came unglued from only light pressure while I was tightening the bolt. This was easy enough to fix and isn't really a major issue but I can see this is the weakest point of the beds construction and could use some improvement.

Two corners of the bed were slightly damaged during shipping. Not anything major, but a few small bits of the finish were broken off. The corners could have been packaged a little better to prevent this.

These are very minor cons and really this bed is amazing, especially for the price. I highly recommend this bed for anyone who wants an elegant solid wood bed.

I was very skeptical making such a large purchase online, but was very pleasantly surprised by the whole process!!! The quality of the product is awesome....not only does it look great, but it's sturdy and overall, just really well made. It's a little bit of a pain to assemble because the directions are not that great, so, you really have to pay attention to the detail in the pictures. Other than that I had such a pleasant experience and would definitely recommend this product to anyone in the market.

Was not sure if it was a good decision to buy online or not. Took risk and it came out very well. This bed is value for money and looks nice. Before buying i researched a lot if it requires box springs or not but could not find solid answer. I took risk and was ready to order box springs once i receive this one. I was looking for a modern TV stand for a 51" plasma. Loved the design and the price. The unit is faced particle board construction. It is not hardwood but the finish looks great and is durable. Construction is solid.

BUT, and this is huge for me,...the center section that is supposed to house the A/V equipment does not have wide enough bays for standard stereo components and most blu-ray players. Each bay behind the sliding glass door is only about 16" wide! How does that happen...REALLY bad design!!! Not sure how to return an 80lb. assembled piece of furniture to Amazon.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Those four little spaces where the shelves are, are REALLY small, very narrow; so small, they can't fit a normal sized tuner, CD player, DVD player, or anything of that normal sized equipment. We own 4 tuners, 2 DVD players and not one of them even comes close to fitting. You'd think with 70 inches and being an "entertainment" stand, that they'd be able to house entertainment electronics, blah!

Apart from that feature, it's a pretty solid piece, drawers work fine and sliding glass glides smoothly. It is a very dark brown, closer to black than a normal brown.

I like this cabinet very much. I just left out the center divider when I built it so the center is one wide area rather than 2 small sections. My components stack pretty well so I did not need the shelves. This did not hurt the structural integrity of the piece.

The color was not as dark as I thought it would be, but that was my fault for misreading the description. Assembly was very easy, took about an hour. It is a very strudy piece of furniture and the quality of the materials are excellent!

When this huge box was delivered, I thought, oh my what have I gotten myself into, but assembly was fairly simple. It took me about 2 hours from out of the box to putting stuff in and on it. Words for the instructions vs. diagrams would be better or even better, both, but I got through it and it looks great. Love the length of the console, love the contemporary design. So basically, I am creeped out by hotels. Sleeping in hotel sheets is simply not an option. I have always taken my own sheet so I can put them in the bed. Despite that, I always wake up constantly, wondering if the sheet is touching me or if it is coming up by my feet. I bought this and have used it two times and slept like a teenager (babies don't sleep) both times. Its like a sleeping bag so no chance of your feet slipping out or the top sheet rolling off., but doesn't make you feel trapped either. It is wide and very long so will go right up to the top of the bed and hold the pillow without your feet being crammed (I'm 6 feet). It's also very silky smooth so comfy to sleep in. The extra benefit is that you get all this in a very small package. Its smaller than a twin size flat sheet and the bag keeps it from unfolding. The only drawback is that its a one person set up, so not for the honeymoon. But I love this. So nice to actually be able to sleep at the hotel!

I actually love this dreamie all in one sheet, but I think its a little on the heavy side when transporting in a backpack. I would rather have this all in one sheet be very light, but I understand some of the reviewers that were hoping for something even more thicker, and if you're using it at home weight doesn't matter. But, in a backpack I can really tell. But, other than that, its long enough and covers me completely with room to move around. I think it all goes back to what makes you comfortable and how you plan to use this product.

MCS Format Frame in Black

I have been using Focus front-loading frames for many years now. They are simple, elegant and inexpensive. The latest ordered ones (this week) are problematic, stemming, I assume from recently poor quality control. In short, the glass is unevenly cut and about 3 out of one order of 6 were almost impossible to get back into their frames. I have never encountered this in all the years I've used the frames. I ordered 2 sets of 6 frames each and only one order of 6 was this way.

BTW, if you order these frames in sets of 6, they come packaged in MCI's own packaging and are less likely to be broken in transit. I found this out the hard way when I ordered 10 frames and 4 were broken (the glass is VERY thin and in 16x20 easily shatters in transit).*

Notice that I have given this product and not the company 4 stars.

*This order did not come in MCI's packaging, but Adorama went out of their way to HEAVILY wrap the individual frames. There was no breakage this time.

8/14/10: I recently wrote a review complaining that Adorama had not offered to pay return postage on these rough-cut glass covers. Should have read more carefully, because they DO offer return postage. My bad. Thank you Adorama.

The frame arrived with a very small chip, which I superglued back in with relative ease. My contact with the company indicated that they would have been happy to send a new one if I had asked. In terms of the product, I was definitely pleased. The frame looks nice on the wall and is very easy to use due to the front-loading feature.

I'm afraid this product is a big disappointment for three reasons. First, even though it states that it is 16"x20", the visible "window" is actually 1/4" bigger in both directions, which means if you have a 16" x 20" picture/poster, there is a 1/4" of VISIBLE cardboard backing in each direction. Second, there is only one nail/screw hole in each direction, which means if your picture is landscape, you have a 20"-wide picture hanging only by the center point (tilts too easily). There should be one in each corner. Finally, it arrived with a very small hairline crack in the glass. Doesn't seem like enough to mess with returning it, but makes a visible white line on the black border of my poster.

Was so excited to receive this beautiful bed frame two days earlier than expected. Setup was a breeze (even for a fat little old lady). Frame is solid with no squeaks or wobbles.

A bit disappointed in quality of workmanship on powder coating (thus not five stars). Several botched spots where it appears it may not have fully dried before being handled. Don't think it will keep me up at night but, like other reviewer, for the price I would expect better quality control from the manufacturer.

All in all a fabulous addition to my beach cottage style bedroom.

The bed itself is very sturdy and beautiful from a distance. There is allot of spaces where the welding was not a complete seal so there is what looks like black holes and long spaces between the white decorative pieces and the white swirling bars. The holes are not all that noticeable from a distance yet for someone that's a perfectionist its rather bothersome to Me. The directions were very complete and it was easy to put together HOWEVER, if you are buying this for a full sized bed they send you a queen and the bars on the top and bottom are wider than the bed which again will drive someone that is a neat freak insane. I was excited to have a metal bed because I like cold on my feet so I can pop My tootsies out the bottom of the covers and touch the bars with My toes as I fall asleep. Their not cold their cool because of the coating I guess... I prefer cold because during hot summers its nice to touch something cold as you sleep its very soothing to Me. I'm sure most people prefer not to feel cold bars which may be a plus for you while a negative factor for Me. The bed is VERY HEAVY so if you like to use stands to make your bed taller (like I do) you will be out of luck. I want to make it clear for the money they ask for this bed they should have filled in the gaps in the welding before painting it. While its not priced as high as designer pieces this set was a nice chunk of change and I would expect at a minimum a smooth complete finish if not flawless.

We purchased this bed, twin size, for our 2 1/2 year old daughter. She loves it! We love it too. Construction is solid and sturdy. It shipped promptly and arrived in perfect condition. We bought only the bed, not the trundle, so we have the mattress set very low and it is perfect for our little girl to climb into bed unassisted. (Note we are using a "bunkie board" instead of box springs to support the mattress, to keep the bed as low as possible.) As our girl grows, we'll raise up the mattress and put the trundle under the bed. We expect this bed to last many years. Great bed for any age. Highly recommended!!

Bar Unit with Wine Rack and Stemware Rack in Black Finish

This bar is absolutely wonderful. The only problem that I had with it, and it's not the bars problem but my problem, is that the bar is REALLY heavy (250lbs+) and I had to move it from my garage to my basement so me and my neighbor really broke a sweat with it. I see this as a positive though, because it is a very well built bar unit.

When I received this item it was cracked along the side from top to bottom. Not to mention other little nicks and indents I've noticed after having made a deal with the seller. I contacted the seller and was offered 10% off the purchased price (by no means is going to fray the cost of repairs) which I accepted . Although the seller was willing to take back the unit, they said they would not replace it because I failed to indicate that the box was damaged on invoice, even though I sent them pictures of the damages.

I felt that I was pretty much stuck with the unit because I didn't know that it was damaged until I had set it up and thrown out much of the box. Although item looks just like the picture (minus the crack) this unit for display purposes only. I don't feel that I could use it as a real bar because it bruises very easily. Just leaning on it could cause scratches and dents to the counter. I would not dear put anything wet (like a cold drink) on the bar for fear that it would stain the paint and cause discoloration to the counter top. Also be mindful that there is an odor to this bar. Although the odor is not as strong as when I first got it, I can still smell it and I had it for over a week. This is probably from the cheap paint that's been applied. The base is very heavy and sturdy but I'm thinking that maybe the counter is made up of crushed wood and not solid wood that's why it can be so easily damaged. I find myself instructing my company to look at the bar but not touch it.

If I had the chance to rethink my purchase I would not buy this unit nor would I recommend it to anyone else. If you do decide to take a chance and buy this product, protect yourself and make sure you indicate on the invoice that the box is damage, if you don't and you realize later that the item is damaged you are pretty much screwed. The bar for quality and function was not set up high for this bar.

This is in fact a photo of the interior of the former home of the renowned textile designers, D.D. and Leslie Tillett, at 170 east 80th street, NYC. No David in there. It is part of a suite of images taken by the famous Gottscho Schleisner Inc. in 1951 of their residence, designed by D.D Tillett. The entire collection of images is in the Library of Congress. There is currently (or, depending on when you are reading this, there may recently have been..) an exhibition on the Tillett's life and work at the Museum of the City of New York. On view until February of 2013.

South Shore Furniture, Versa Collection, Triple Dresser, Ebony

I would have preferred more expensive bedroom furniture, but the staircase in this 125 year old house is too narrow and has too many corners to bring anything much larger than a coffee table upstairs. So... assemble-it-yourself has been the only way to go. I purchased the media stand from this collection first, and was pleased with the sturdy construction, the attractive finish and hardware, and ease of assembly. This dresser was no different, and I'm pleased with it for the price. The drawers glide easily (plastic runners) and have stops to prevent pulling them out too far, they're plenty roomy. The ebony color is very dark chocolate and black with a soft satin gloss. It's quite neutral and blends well with antique Persian carpets and Tiffany style lamps, though it would work with modern decor, too. Most of the pieces come with a touch-up marker to fix nicks or scratches. I've also purchased the tall chest, nightstand, and mirror. They're all good, basic pieces to decorate around, and reasonably priced for what you get.

This dresser is a great value! It arrived about 1 week after ordering, and the top was damaged. A quick call to the company, and a replacement was shipped out. Assembly took 2 people about 1 1/2 hours. The dresser is beautiful, heavy, and looks much more expensive than it is!!

For the price you can't beat this. Looks really nice. I would have paid a little extra for some decent drawer sliders. As other reviewers have said they are plastic and don't slide very well. But for the price it doesn't get much better then this. It looks really nice. One note that I didn't know, in the picture it looks like there are 4 smaller drawers on the top. Those are really just 2 drawers and the design on the front makes it look like that. Assembly was as expected. If you have put together furniture assembly before its pretty standard but does take some time.

The box weighs a lot so have a friend help you move it to the room you will be setting it up.

Instructions were detailed and there were plenty of pieces so take your time and it will be a breeze to put together.

Was a little worried with the quality of the bottoms of the shelves. They seemed rather weak when i put them in but they do sure up with some added screws and a brace.

It took about 2 hours to put together but well worth it for the price. Shelves slide out surprisingly easy for using plastic instead of metal.

And just so there is no confusion the top "four" shelves are actually two shelves made to look like four. So the picture you see is the actual piece. So 6 shelves total.

So when you start this construction project i recommend putting on some of your favorite tunes, grab a hot cup of cocoa and plan on spending a couple hours sitting on your floor.

Or you could pay your neighbors kids to put it together.

We were worried at first because it arrived pretty beat up (the box looked like a dinosaur had gotten ahold of it), but when we opened the box, the parts were all there and were perfect. If you follow the directions, this dresser is simple and easy to put together. It took us maybe like 2 hours. The color is a perfect shade of dark brown/black that looks modern and expensive. The only drawback is the drawers are a little shallow. But they slide nicely and the overall look of the dresser is exactly what we wanted. Really makes the room look nice. If you don't mind putting it together yourself, this dresser is definitely worth it, considering you would be paying triple at a furniture store.

I was a little nervous purchasing bedding online but was pleasantly surprised when I received it. The quilt and sham are of good material (soft and good thread count) and very well made.

I ordered this quilt set for my sons first bed. I got a great deal on Amazon with free shipping much less than on other sites. The quilt is super soft, extremely high quality, and was ready to place on the bed without washing. The colors are much more vibrant than in the on-line pictures. There are several different colors in the quilt making it easy to match with any little boys room. I am super happy with my purchase. The only problem was that the quilt was not packaged well and ended up with a dirt stain (on one of the white sections, of course) in the shipping process. I was a little disappointed, but not enough to deal with exchanging it through the mail. I am very confident that the stain will come out with normal washing.

Overall, quilt is made from good quality cotton fabrics (soft and high thread count) and designs are appealing. The depicted trucks are --dump truck, digger (not seen in images on web), crane and garbage truck. My son immediately pointed them out and named them. Colors are great (the very margin is alternating green and navy blue), quilt goes well in a room with sage green walls and antique blue bed. It is nice that sham is included. Couple comments/surprises for me are as follows: 1) the batting is very thin (I like it, but did not expected it to be so) thus quilt is not best to be used as blanket rather than a coverlet for the bed; 2) the stitching is done by hands and not by machine, I will see how such stitching holds up with washes; 3) in some places stitching is done by white thread over blue fabric...I would rather see these stitches in blue.

While this is a cute set, I choose this set because it said it was cotton outer and cotton filled in the description. When I received it, it actually has a cotton / polyester fill. I should have known better and called, so that is my fault, but I am extremely disappointed with the seller for the misleading description. If I had known that was the case, I would not have bought this set. However, now I have it and my son has seen it and since he likes the pattern so well, not an option to return. Also, don't have the time to wait for a new set to be shipped now.

Bolton Furniture Wakefield Lg Ped. Desk honey

We purchased two of these desks along with some other Bolton furniture. We returned it all. The build quality and quality control is absolutely awful. Avoid this furniture at all costs.

Upon delivery, one desk box was so badly damaged that the truck driver suggested we open it. We did the desk was severely damaged. The other desk box appeared to be in good shape and the driver moved it into our garage. We never removed it from the box because the matching night tables and chairs had so many build and quality control issues that we decided to return all the furniture.

Would not recommend this brand.

We bought this desk for our toddler to grow into. SHe has a lot of coloring pages and such and needed a place to keep everything. This desk is PERFECT!!! It is WIDE and DEEP, and the height will be great when she's in high school writing papers. For now, she loves having her very own desk and a big place to play on the computer. The drawers are easy to pull out and don't slam closed on her fingers. The wood is solid and is going to hold up even against our destructo-child! Based on other reviews, we went with this desk and are so glad we did! This company makes great quality items that will last for years. When we need to upgrade our office desk, we will be looking at this company!

I purchased this desk for my 7-year old daughter. Since her other room furniture is honey colored, we wanted a matching desk... which is hard to find. There are not many desk options in honey. I was uneasy about this purchase since it had one bad review on Amazon, but on other websites it had good reviews. Well, now I'm very pleased with this purchase. The quality of this desk is very good, the color matches her other furniture and best of all it was delivered completely assembled! We plan to buy another one (white) for my other daughter. I do wish that it came with a matching chair.

I was a little apprehensive about ordering this bed skirt. I wasn't sure if it would be worth it, considering it was for a six year old's room. I've had bed skirts in the past that didn't last long just from being pulled and tugged on while making the beds. The material that is attached to the skirt is good quality and strong enough to hold up. It's not made of the thin cotton that seems to tear and stretch like a cotton ball.

This makes this bedding set stand out! I hated to spend the money on it but when on the bed I found I couldn't live without it for my daughters room.

I got the wrong items I ordered the bedding set, Comforter set. for my daughter for Christmas and I got a bed skirt. when I called them I was told I had to order the comforter set for 89.99 and I have already paid 156 dollars for a pair of curtains and a bed skirt I cant even use. I am very very unhappy with the service and I wouldnt order from here again. I am seriously thinking of telling the BBB because 156 dollars is alot to pay for curtains and a skirt and they blamed Amazon for ordering it wrong... from what I am seeing of the curtains the bedding set would be very pretty IF they will actually send it to you

Nice quality...very soft. I haven't washed yet but could see how the pink could run so will absolutely use several color catchers when I do wash it. It is the perfect center piece for her pink and zebra themed room! We are very happy with this set!
