King Size Bookcase Chest Bed in Brown Finish

Dominates the room (which we expected smallish room) but we wanted a king, which doesn't leave much room for other furniture like dressers or nightstands. This solved all those issues. Edge of the bed frame is about two feet high.

Well built, some of it like the sides are veneered particleboard (what isn't now?) but is still very sturdy and very nice looking. There are also holes in each corner of the bookcase headboard for running power (alarm, light, etc.) which was nice I was expecting to have to take a hole saw to it. Drawers aren't dovetailed but I didn't expect them to be. Should be sufficient to hold whatever we need without falling apart (time will tell) and they operate smoothly. Drawers in the headboard are lined with a felt-ish material.

I was able to wrestle this into the house on my own (arrives in multiple boxes on a palette) but it would definitely have been easier with another person. Assembles fairly easily directions were weak, but it was mostly self explanatory and bolts together easily. One support for the headboard broke in shipping but I glued, clamped, re-screwed it back together so it could cure while unpacking the rest it is not visible so I wasn't worried about appearance.

Mattress is supported by slats, which is common with platform beds. May have to put a thin layer of plywood over the slats depending on what the mattress requires for support. Overall we're very happy with this and think it was definitely worth the price, especially after shopping around locally we didn't find anything close to this for the price.

This bed was ordered and received in good shape. Bed came in four(4) boxes on a pallet. We unloaded box at a time. No damage, boxes were well packed. Be sure to look under the headboard for the slats and so forth. Bed is better than expected, well made, not from China but Mayayissa. I was impressed, more importantly, my wife is happy. All the screws and bolts and so forth all there. We put a 14 inch high mattress and a little high. But the drawers are great. Amazon did good with this one. Would highly recommend. Be sure to inspect boxes, outside. Ours was fine. Bed much better and cheaper than in stores around here and no tax with freight paid. If any questions, let me know. No foundation is needed under mattress, or box springs are not needed. Will sleep on it first time tonight. Only problem it I do not think the dogs can get on and off. Need to buy taller steps. My husband and I love this bed. It was not difficult to put together, as it came partially assembled. We did have to use a fork lift to get it off of the delivery truck, but I guess you could take the boxes off of the palate and move them one at a time. It is majestic in our room :)

I liked the way it looked in the picture and it was exactly what we needed. More draw space and bookcase space. It was shipped on time and easy to unpack.

My husband and myself put it together. It took about 2 hours...but we are senior citizens so we work a little slower. It matched our other furniture well and looked great in the room. I do believe Amazon is picky in what it sells as we have been buying merchandise from them for a long time and have not yet had any problems.
