I looked at a lot of benches before purchasing this one. It is a quality piece and very unique. It's heavy, sturdy, and well made. Well worth the price. I get a ton of compliments on it. Most people think its a Pottery Barn piece for twice the price. The only issue is there was a slight flaw on the top of the bench that was noticeably repaired and colored in. It was a small flaw and I didn't want to go through the hassle of unassembling, re-packing and returning it. When I contacted Amazon they were very accommodating and offered a slight discount, so I took the discount over the return.

Hmmm, so-so, made of light not very solid pieces of wood, it's not a metal rod, it's plastic!, ... arrived damaged on one side, the part of the corner was chipped... Its possible I should share some of the praise with you. I havent been this happy with a piece of furniture in a while! Matched perfectly! The wood is beautiful and I am already sad to know that something so pretty is sure to get ruined by these savages I have for children. Easy, easy, easy and I mean my 6 yr old helped easy, to assemble. and packaged very well.YAY!
