This frame looks a lot more expensive than what it really cost. Real strong solid wood which is deep/dark red in color, matches my oil painting quite well. It comes with mounting hardware. This was also my first time framing a painting and it wasn't really hard to do it at all.I bought this to frame an enlarged photo to give as a gift, but I would be embarrassed to give something made of such poor quality to anyone! It isn't even made with real glass but with thin plastic! There is no official backing to it but instead a piece of corrugated cardboard that is tacked down with tiny metal flaps which make it an annoyance to change or adjust the picture inside. I had to go to Michaels last minute and purchase a frame that turned out to be much nicer and actually cost less than this. It looks ok in the pics online and maybe I will use it in a place that is high up away from the close eye.
