This chest is so well made and the dark finish is very nice. The finish of the drawers are stains, so you can see the wood grain, which give a very elegant effect. We don't think the photos on Amazon do this chest justice. Its solid wood --and exceptionally good quality.

The dresser was better than expected. The drawers have soft closing. It is easy for my 3 yo son to get into all the drawers and pick out his clothes. The truck knobs that we got are easy to use. One reviewer stated he could not get his fingers around the knob to open up the drawer. There are small plastic spacers that go between the dresser drawer front and the knob. It gives just enough space to allow ease in opening the drawers. Even my 20 yo stated she would not mind the dresser with the tea party motif. The quality of the dresser will work for years to come for us. I have had it only 3 days though.

I also like that the colored fronts are stained, not painted like I thought. This is even more asthetically pleasing to me.

For the ridiculous price on this, you'd expect it to be high-end. It's not. None of the drawers closes with precision and the handles are not perfectly straight or evenly spaced (so while your hand will fit comfortably around one, it will not be possible to grasp the other). It is very pretty though.

It's a beautiful bureau and I got a really good deal on it (about 70% off) but now I'm wondering if that's because none of the "kid" knobs were included. I just received the "adult" knobs that are for when the child grows out of purple drawers and ocean creatures. I'm just not sure where to get help for this since Amazon sold it but didn't make or package it. My daughter is very disappointed. I now wish i had bought it from the Room Magic website...kind of...wouldn't want to pay those prices, but I want my knobs!!!! :o)
