We bought this bed for my 3 year old son. It is his first "big boy bed" after using a crib, then converting that to a toddler bed. It comes in a BIG and HEAVY box. Let me stress it is VERY heavy! Packed very well also. The UPS delivery man could barley carry it. He slid it into the house and it stayed there until my husband could tackle opening it and assembly. Easy assembly. It took him an hour in a half with distractions. Decent directions. He move it into the bedroom w/o the drawers. Bed looks nice once put together. Does not creek when I lay on it too. The drawers are a bit tough to open and close. I rubbed bar soap on the tracks and this helped. Sits low to the ground with just one top mattress. We still opted to use a bed rail. Also purchased matching headboard and night stand. The bed is the only thing assembled right now. We are using a 9 inch memory foam mattress no box spring. It seems pretty firm, which is fine for a little guy. But I am thinking a box spring also may improve this. Make sure you buy a bed rail that specifies it can be used with "platform beds" it works/fits terrific. We bought this from amazon also Dex Products Universal Safe Sleeper Bed Rail. You can view the costumer pic of it on a captains bed. So far very happy!!

This bed frame is very sturdy and looks very nice. The assemble was not too bad either. My son absolutely loves the bed especially the drawers (since they are easy to pull out and push in).

I purchased this for my grandson. It was fairly easy to assemble. It's nice for a child's room and provides extra storage (they can't shove everything under the bed either ha ha). The drawers slide easily. It has a 5 yr guarantee and seems pretty sturdy. Would recommend if you want a nice-looking, inexpensive bed for a child's room.

I ordered this bed for a 10 yr old girl who needed a smaller bed. The item shipped & arrived earlier than amazon estimated. I was very happy with that, however there were a few broken/damaged pieces. I called the shipper and was met with excellent customer service, the young man took my info, apologized and ordered my replacement parts right away.

The product is particle board with laminante, so it is not the strongest but appears to be as well made as possible. It was easy to put together, it took about 90 min.s not bad at all.

It is best if you use a drill to ensure accuracy when attaching the screws. I used a drill and had no problem with the drawers at all they open with ease.

Be sure to screw all screws in completely and you should have no problem either.

It was not made to last forever but I feel comfortable with the 5 yr warranty. So I say it was a good buy and worth every penny.

I bought this bed for my almost 3 year old son. It's a nice looking bed and it was pretty easy to put together. The bed was delivered quickly and none of the pieces were missing or broken. It is a very heavy bed and I had to carry it one or two pieces at a time. I put it together while my husband was at work. It took me a couple of hours but I had an 11 year old and an almost 3 year old "helping" me. My son's bedroom is really short so this bed fit perfect with out a headboard. It looks great in there. The only thing, like others have said, is that the drawers don't slid all that easily but I have done nothing to fix that. They open easy enough.
