Ameriwood 2 Drawer Vertical Filing Cabinet - Bank Alder

For the price, I expected a put-it-together-yourself type of cabinet, and it was. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and the assembly went well. However, when I put the drawers in, the wheels kept coming out of the side tracks causing the top drawer to fall onto the lower drawer. I had to remove the wheel brackets from the drawers and reinstall them with shims behind them to effectively make the drawer wider. Works okay now but since the screws are so short, I'll have to be extra careful not to overload the drawers. The cabinet does have a nice appearance, though.

This is a nice looking cabinet. It is designed to use hanging folders however you cannot use tabs on the folders. There is not enough room for them and the folders get stuck and you can't get them out

Typical slap together "Sauder" type furniture. Some pieces were damaged, unnoticeable until almost done with assembly. Should've went with a cheaper steel cabinet.

Looks descent and is a great way to conceal what would otherwise be an ugly file cabinet, especially for the price. Also, its very easy to assemble, maybe a 30 min job for an amateur with a drill.

The only real drawback is that the folders are suspended from so high on the drawer that they nearly touch the bottom of the drawer above or the top of the cabinet. If a folder is far back in the drawer, good luck getting it back forward.

I have been VERY pleased with this product. It is wide enough for my keyboard to slide under. It has a drawer that is perfect for my pens and highlighters. It also has a cup-holder that is removable if you would rather store something else in that spot. It does have a cover for that spot as well if you do not want to use it.
