Extra Weave USA Mardi Hand-woven Cotton Gras Rug

Here I was trying to be a grown up and not buy technicolor anything and I stumble upon this rug on Amazon. I am a huge color lover and a huge admirer of rag rugs so I was doomed from the first click.

Note the amazon picture shows the 2 x 3 version even when you click on the 4x6. Yes, dimensions are the same, however the proportion of the stripes is way different (see my pictures for reference). The rug is like any rag rug not super soft. It's not particularly hard, it's just not a rug for you if you are looking for that rug that you sink your feet into and expel some sort of pleasure noise. It's more like you stare at it and try to pick a favorite color and maybe squeak something about loving the rug. And also push your cat off it when he is about to vomit, like I did the other day. Sorry kitty.

I absolutely love my rug and would get it all over again if I got to restart. It is not for everyone, it is pretty gaudy, but if you are looking at it and thinking "I think I might really like that rug": you do. You really really do.

I bought two of these rugs for my kitchen which is mostly decorated with Fiestaware.. I needed something with bright and vivid colors and these rugs turned out great! They are durable and thick. Shake them out every few days and they Look great, I have even taken a vacume to them! Will buy more when we move to a bigger Kitchen!

The rugs are exactly what I wanted foir my "mexican cantina kitchen". They go perfectly with my Sedona dishes and all my decor. Just be ware they do slip under your feet on the tile floor. Other than that TERRIFIC!

I bought two of these rugs for my red kitchen because we got new ceramic tile flooring. They look fabulous! They don't show dirt and look great against the neutral floor coloring. It says not to wash them, but I did in cold water and hung them out to dry. They were fine and no colors ran.

I've had these mats for several months and washed them. The color fades and they fall apart. These are very poor quality compared to similar products.
