This is very much a 'you get what you pay for' product. For its price, the structure itself is remarkable; a fully-functional, structurally sound bunk bed that's perfect for guests or young children. That being said, there are clearly quality control issues that need to be addressed. Three in particular stick out:1) The drawers are free-floating (design flaw). Yes, they have wheels and they stop when they're pushed all the way in, but they may as well just be storage boxes with matching wood faces taped on to them.
2) Misdrilled holes (production flaw). On one of the legs, the screw holes were misdrilled, preventing me from securing one of the corners of the frame.
3) Broken pieces (shipping flaw). Several parts of the product arrived chipped, and one key structural piece was outright broken. Nothing some Gorilla Glue and screwed-in braces couldn't fix, but still. Annoying.
Still, even after all of these problems, a little over $400 for a wooden bunk bed frame is pretty amazing. Just be prepared to have to deal with some issues.
