I was initially worried about buying a bed online. In saying that, I did A LOT of research on this model and company. There are other retailers out there that sell this series of beds, but I went with Amazon because of my experiences with Amazon. The bed came in 2 boxes weighing 83lbs total. The shipping was free, and arrived in under a week. Set up took less than 1 hour with my wife holding the side rails in place while i put it together. We are impressed with the mahogany finish, and this is REAL wood, not particle board. Hard to find real wood these days, let alone in the $300 range. It looks beautiful in our bedroom, and is just about the right height.It comes up to the back of knee-thigh area, so you can "sit" into bed. All in all this was a great purchase, quick delivery, ease of set up, real wood, great finish. Enjoy.

Nice Euro-style (low, minimalist) design. It makes the bedroom seem more spacious and modern due to the low profile (only about 5"-6" of space underneath). And with no box springs or other foundation needed for a foam bed, the overall height is only about 19"-20" to the top of the mattres.
Good quality wood rails and slats. Nicely finished side and end rails.
No cheap particle board or MDF (hurray!!!)
Very sturdy metal connecting brackets at all four corners.
All bolts used to connect rails to corner posts screw into metal receivers which are pre-installed in the wood corner posts. This makes for a very sturdy metal to metal connection very nice!
There are four vertical support posts between the head rail and foot rail in the center of the bed frame which is a good thing. They didn't show up in the pictures on Amazon.
Easy to assemble. Took me about 30 minutes after opening the boxes and doing a quick review of the instruction sheet.
My new foam mattress fit the frame perfectly about 1/4" of space all around the base of the mattress. The mounting brackets allow for some minor size adjustments.
With the mattress in the frame, the new bed felt very solid with no creaking noises or sagging. I tested it by rolling around and doing some moderate jumping on the mattress.
VALUE (this is my only area of mild criticism):
My price was $247 through the Amazon seller (Wayfair at that time). Today I see the price is $322 through another Amazon seller. The "list price" (MSRP) is being quoted as $529!!
Don't be fooled by those ridiculous MSRP or "list price" quotes. The platform bed is simply a "minimalist" structure with very few parts and nice, but not extraordinary, components.
In my opinion, it's a $200 bed frame with very few parts and no headboard or footboard.
I like the looks and sturdiness of the bed frame, but it's not the bargain the retailers would like you to think it is.
I hope this review helps a little in making your decision. I'm sure you'll be very happy with the quality of the bed. But whether or not you think it's a good value may depend on what you paid for it compared to the absurd "list price" stated by the sellers.This bed is just awesome. I did a lot of research to find one that isn't noisy.
-The bed has a beautiful cherry finish on the wood
-The wood felt heavy (i.e. not cheap particle board)
-There were zero cosmetic defects and the bed was shipped in well-packaged boxes
-I set up by the bed by myself in about an hour. It even comes with one of the tools needed for assembly, so if you've ever put together a Lego set, this bed should be no problem.
-The bed holds up great for late-night activities

Purchased for my teenage daughter and was very pleased with the ease of assembly. I did not experience any issues with quality and all holes where drilled so that it was very easy to tighten together so that all corners have a consistent appearance. Once assembled, it is very sturdy.My daughter loves this bed as it is very minimalistic and short enough that it makes her room look like it has more space than it really has.

This frame was awesome for the first two weeks that we had it. It didn't make noise and made our bed far more comfortable than it had been with a traditional frame and box springs. Unfortunately, the center beam snapped while we were in bed. It's broken right in the middle of the beam between the two inner feet. (There are four legs that screw into the center beam. Perhaps a fifth right in the middle would have prevented the break?)There's no weight limit listed anywhere, but I seriously doubt we would have been over any limit as two normal sized adults.
