WallStickersUSA Wall Sticker Decal, Hanging Monkey with Pink Flowers

Wife ordered it... my first impressions... intimidating! I did not want to ruin it or my reputation as the man of the house. So I procrastinated for two whole weeks. The sticker was delivered in a beaten up acrylic plastic box. I flattened it out under the mattress for these two weeks before taking on the project. Here are a few tips -

1. Start with the lowest part. With a large decal its tough to visualize where each part is going to go on the wall.

2. Don't go sticking the part as you go. I just put enough pressure on one or two points of each sticker so it would stay. I was able to move things around until I had put all of it on the wall. Once I was done I just pressed everything firmly with a towel.

3. Don't worry if you have to use the sissors on some of the pieces. I have a Foscam FI8910W nursery cam on the wall right where one of the branches were to come. I just cut the sticker and placed it out of the way.

4. Take your time, be patient. Hand your spouse a cup of tea or a glass of wine so he/she has something to do rather than look over your shoulder.

I fell in love with these decals when I saw them on Amazon. My daughter was to share a room with my son and since his room was already monkey-themed, I really wanted to find girl monkey decals. This seemed perfect.

Once I started this project I found this to be more frustrating than I thought it would be. Since the decals are on a sheet broken up into several different stickers, I first had to map it out. Then, once I started getting everything up on the wall, I found that the decals weren't sticky enough. They'd start peeling off, curling up, and falling off the wall completely. I ended up taping them up with invisible tape, which seemed tacky at first, but did work out just fine.

Would I buy this again if I knew what would happen? Yeah...probably. The cuteness factor did end up outweighing the frustrating nature of the "sticky" back. I guess one thing I can be thankful for is that when I take them off the wall eventually, the paint won't go with it. :)

Easy to apply....Looks adorable in my toddler's room. We have it hanging over her twin bed with light green walls. The colors are amazing-It really stands out. It comes rolled upmake sure to unroll it a few days prior to hanging. My only complaint which isn't with the product itself but with the cost of the shipping. The shipping actually cost more than the stickers. I'm not sure why it costs so much to send stickers? Would buy again though, even given the price of the shipping. Our completed product resembled something off of a room makeover show...and I had one happy little girl!!!
