The second thing is that this couch is very short! More kid's height than adults.
I knew that this would be a temporary couch for me, so it doesn't matter too muchbut I thought I would let future buyers know what they were in for!The futon is far more black than gray; I read that in another review and having it in black was a positive for me. It is small; it arrives in a flat box, and when I opened it I wondered where the other half was, but it was all there. I actually like the size after getting accustomed to it for a few minutes. It is easy to assemble; there are four screw on legs in a hidden pocket on the underside of futon. After setting it on the legs, it only needs to have the back lift up until it clicks, and it is done.
What I do not like: the hardness; it is very, very stiff and I have hopes that with use it softens up a little. If I need to use it for a sleeper, I will add a blow up mattress on top as I think it would be brutal to sleep on otherwise. Also the material feels like felt, and any piece of dirt/material will cling to it.
My overall feeling is that it is just a little better than okay when I calculate how much it cost into the equation. If this was a 99$ purchase, I would have felt better about my purchase.
PS, I have been sitting on it while I typed out this review and my butt is already getting sore.Very convenient. a bit low and short for tall people like my brothers and sisters, but nice. And instant extra bed when i need it.
