South Shore Furniture, Mountain Lodge Collection, 6 Drawer Double Dresser, Ebony

This is the second piece of furniture I have bought from South Shore Furniture. I am very pleased with it. It's great if you don't have a lot of space. The furniture is very strong. It does take someone who knows how to put things together to put this dresser together or 2 people. I love it and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for something nice and inexpensive.

I didn't put it together, but the person who was, did the whole set in a couple hours so it must've been a pretty easy assembly. The finish? Looks pretty good, and sturdy. I went to the furniture store, and they had dressers for $600 per! I bought this set of three for $500 and honestly, they don't look very much different quality wise. So.. that said.. it's great. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is probably because I think they may scratch just a little too easy (be sure to assemble it on carpet) .. Or it could be me, who knows. But I'm pretty satisfied. Looks great in my room.

This is a good piece of furniture for the price. When it arrived some of the decorative molding had been destroyed in shipped. We were able to call the company and they had the replacement piece delivered in a week. It was time consuming (like a half day by yourself), but pretty easy to put together. On the plus side, its a good size, looks great in my bedroom, and I could afford to get several matching pieces. On the down side the drawers are a little hard to slide in and out and you cannot get water on it -it will destroy it (no flowers with water that could spill out or a glass of water that would sweat). I keep having to tell my husband that he can't put a glass of ice water on the nightstand, but he doesn't listen and it's pretty well destroyed on the top now, so I definitely don't recommend it for children or husbands. But it would probably be great in a guest room, which is my plan for it eventually when I save up enough for a solid wood bedroom set for myself.

We purchased the matching armoire, the drawers are very spacious in both pieces, very tedious to put together. They seem sturdy though. Wish they were the color shown on picture.

Wow! What a piece of garbage this is! I bought this with a clear expectation that I was buying a relatively cheap RTA piece of furniture. I didn't expect something out of Pottery Barn or Restoration Hardware but I at least thought it would be an inexpensive dresser that would suit my needs. Apparently I should have set the expectation bar even lower. I received this product and very wisely decided to carefully open only one of the long ends instead of cutting the box open as I usually do. I began carefully removing the pieces and instantly noticed some issues.

1. It was filthy coming out of the box. I pulled a few pieces out and my floor was covered in dirt and dust. I was sneezing and hacking for about five minutes.

2. About fives pieces deep into extracting it from the box, I started noticing that (a) everything was extremely flimsy and poorly constructed and (b) SOME PIECES HAD A DIFFERENT FINISH THAN THE REST OF IT! I didn't order a two-tone dresser and they didn't send me one. They actually boxed up and sent me a mismatched, hodgepodge piece of junk!

Are you kidding me?!?!?!?! I went no further. I boxed it back up and left it on the floor. I emailed the supplier (CSN) per the return instructions and, as of today, three days later, I have yet to hear from them. I want this piece of junk out of my house NOW! This weekend I'll be going to a proper furniture store and getting a proper piece of furniture. LESSON LEARNED!
