I got this valance in the chocolate color to match some other curtains, and for the small dormer sized windows........These work perfectly. I dont know about the other colors but the chocolate blocks all the light, and means I did not have the special order curtains for the small windows above the big windows......For the price, they are very nice, and can not beat the light blocking ability. well worth the purchase!

I got 7 of the ivory valances, and they arrived in 3 different shipments. Overall the valances are good quality and look pretty, but 2 of them were darker than the rest. I know that the same fabric can have different shades depending on the batch, and with an online order like this it's too bad that I didn't have a chance to inspect them. I guess the best way to at least try to avoid this happening is to ship all orders at once, rather than shipping whatever becomes available in separate shipments. I should have checked that box when I ordered.

Even though the valance does not cover the whole window, it makes a big difference in keeping the room cooler and the bright sun doesn't blind me when I am working in the kitchen.
