Buy Twin Over Full Loft Bed in Merlot Now
We bought this for my 2 1/2 year old as her big girl bedroom set and she loves it. We also love it, the quality of the wood is better than what's in the stores. We shopped around for a few months locally and online and this really is the best deal out there. The color is nice and warm and the wood has a little shine to it, very solid! Love the fact that the lower bed can roll out so I can change the sheets easily. No need for a dresser cause the drawers that come with it are plenty. I would definitely recommend this product. Only con was some of the holes didn't match up perfect but my husband made it work somehow. He also said the directions were a little off... other than that, great product!Read Best Reviews of Twin Over Full Loft Bed in Merlot Here
I ordered this item twice. The first time I cancelled this order because only AFTER buying this item I received an email that stated this is curbside delivery, meaning I would have to take the items from the truck to my house. Not so easy when you are a single woman of petite build. SO i cancelled the order. That was easy enough and the customer service regarding that was awesome. After some thought I figured I can manage it with a dolly so I re-ordered. The item arrived in perfect condition. My son is happy with his new bed. The directions are a little sketchy but I managed to put this together in under 3 hours. Now the bad part which you should know when you order from this company. They use YRC frieght. Horrendous delivery company. I set an appointment for 1-5pm. My delivery arrived at 7pm. This is after I called and spoke to Debbie who pretty much just wanted me to get off the phone. I called at 3:30 (and had to hold for a receptionist for 15 minutes) and she admonished me by saying that the appointment was set for between 1 and 5 and I pretty much needed to wait. I called again at 4:30. She told me again I just needed to wait until 5. I asked her where exactly the truck was, after putting me on hold for several minutes, I was told that the truck was 30 minutes away. Cool. At 5 pm I called again. Was on hold until 5:45 at which Time I hung up and started calling other numbers. I was then put on to a Josh who told me that the shifts just changed and that the truck would be there in 20 minutes. I called back in 15 minutes, took me 10 minutes after that to have someone answer the call. At that time I asked him how much longer, he said he screamed didn't i just speak to you? I said 20 minutes, so again i explained to him that i was told that same story several times throughout the day. Where was the truck. He says well its across town, then proceeds to tell me that the truck is on 159th and Madison avenue. Anyone from ny knows there is no 159th and madison avenue. So at this point im screaming b/c they're lying. He says well can we deliver tomorrow morning?
anyway i ended up getting the delivery at 7 pm. so just take note that when you order this item, the delivery company this vendor uses is awful.

My kids and I just LOVE this bed! We've had it set up now for nearly 4 weeks, and we couldn't be happier! I bought it for a 2 1/2 y.o. in the top bunk, and a 1 1/2 y.o. in the bottom bunk. Seems young, yes, but my kids were already sleeping on reg. sized mattresses on the floor. They took to sleeping on this from day ONE! What sold me on this bed over the other bunk setups was the fact that the lower full size is a STAND-ALONE bed. It's not attached. So when my girls (born 364 days apart) decide they want their own rooms, I can make that happen with ease. As far as the fear of such small kids possibly falling off the top bunk... Well, even 7 & 8 year olds can fall off a top bunk. At least with this bed there's a good chance they will land on the lower bed. Upon delivery, I asked a kind neighbor to help get the 5 boxes into my living room. I did the un-boxing and most of the pre-assembly there, then carried the pieces upstairs. Heaviest piece was the dresser. But once I took the drawers out, I got it up just fine. I assembled this completely by myself in 5 hours. Would have been quicker, but the kids tried "helping" by carrying off my tools and supplies. Thought about locking them out of the room while I worked, but decided to let them stay in and get satisfaction by building their new beds with me.My assembly tips: Read ahead a few steps in the instruction manual. I busted a dowel rod but was able to use it anyway. If I'd a looked a bit further than the step I was on, this wouldn't have happened. Also note that the slat kit shipping out with this is NOT the slat kit in the manual. Which is another reason to read ahead. Actually, very little reading. The set-up manual is all pictures. I would have preferred the wooden slat kit instead of the prefabbed metal ones that are shipping, but you get what you get. And for an $800ish set of two pine beds, I can understand the cheaping out with the slat kit. You could always go to a hardware/home store and buy your own slats to nail down if you feel the metal ones supplied won't cut it. This bed was a bit tricky and difficult to assemble, but totally do-able. I feel like the way it's constructed actually ADDS to the strength of the overall bed. So for that reason, I still think this is a 5 star set up for this price point. Looking forward to many many years of enjoyment. These beds better last through high school graduation! They are so strong I don't see why they wouldn't! Happy purchase for me and my kids!
