Within 2 days of using the the chair it developed a rather noisy squeak. It is to be expected that a wood product will give off some noise due to variances in temperature and humidity etc, however on the third day, the arms separated from the back with a loud crack.
The arms are joined to the back via two dowel rods and glue. The one point in the design where all the downward and backward stresses of the sitter/rocker are focused, is held together by wood and glue... throughout the rest of the chair a series of brass alloy screws and lock nuts are used which is fine if not overkill. The one point where screws and lock-nuts would do the most good, they are lacking.
As there are two dowel rods which support the focal point of stress on such a small supporting beam, it is impossible to replace the dowels with screws as the pre-drilled holes have already compromised the integrity of the beam.
Nice looking? yes. Quality? no. Firewood? not unless you like clouds of toxic fumes from the lacquer. For the money, I was expecting more. The quality is just "okay". The spindles on the side of the chair arms seem flimsy. Comes in a flat box which you must assemble entirely. The wood is a softer Brazilian pine, not the traditional oak (though obviously that would have meant a much larger price tag). Overall was a bit of a disapointment.
Buy Coaster Mission Style Rocking Wood and Leather Chair Rocker Now
This rocker is very nice looking. Dark wood, leather seat. After some use the wood started to crack and splinter and the leather began to crack. The chair lasted a good year and a half until it was unusable without major work being done to it.Read Best Reviews of Coaster Mission Style Rocking Wood and Leather Chair Rocker Here
DO NOT waste your money or time with this product!!! This is my first time ever submitting an online review of any product. This rocker is so awful, I just had to.Where do I begin?
I purchased this rocker for my son's nursery. We haven't even had this rocker for a full year! At the time, it seemed like a beautiful rocker that could be used not only to rock our baby boy in his cozy nursery, but later be used as a lovely interchangeable piece in our home (living room? den? reading room?). I am a 5'5", 117lb woman, and my husband is 5'5" and slender as well. Our baby boy enjoys tiny gentle rocks back and forth, so we are not "violent" rockers either. Keep in mind... tiny people, tiny rocks back and forth. Proceed reading :)
All of the following occurrences below, happened within months of owning this rocking chair.
1st RED FLAG: CHOKING HAZARD FOR INFANTS & SMALL CHILDREN
Within a month or two, several of the tiny, dime sized, aesthetic wooden pegs that are glued on the wood framing to cover the screws, began to pop off. As they popped off from time to time, one by one, each time I found myself scanning the floor on my hands and knees trying to find each peg to avoid a serious choking hazard for my crawling infant.
2nd RED FLAG: PHYSICALLY UNSAFE! ROCKER LEG CAME OFF, CAUSING ROCKER TO COLLAPSE ON ONE SIDE
At the same time, while rocking my son one afternoon (keep in mind... tiny gentle rocks), one of the rocker legs came off. Yes. You read correctly. The rocker leg came off!!! The left side of the chair collapsed, with my baby still in my arms. Thankfully, no one was injured.
3rd RED FLAG: AGAIN... PHYSICALLY UNSAFE! ENTIRE BACKING OF CHAIR FELL APART
As if that's not enough. One day, while on my hands and knees searching for another peg that popped off on the floor, I noticed the entire backing of the chair was falling apart. Right along the leather edges, the sides had ripped open, the foam stuffing, and particle board that make up the entire backing of the chair had quickly fallen apart. As if the rocker leg coming off, causing the rocker to collapse on one side wasn't enough, now the entire backing of the chair was falling apart. Making it very possible for one to fall through the chair.
At this point, the story seems slightly comical. But, only after reaching wits end. Our next step is to contact the manufacturer, stating everything that happened, in hopes of a product recall most importantly for the safety of others. For our sake, I HOPE the manufacturer DOES NOT send us a brand new rocker, because I've completely lost faith in the safety and craftsmanship of this chair.
I hope this review is helpful. Stay safe!

I had written a bad review on this product which has since disappeared, interesting. In less than 1 week, the factory constucted parts came apart, bolts did not fit from the beginning and I soon got a call from the distributers. I offered to give back the chair if they gave me an all factory constructed chair or my money back. They said they had to talk to the manufacturers. They also said they have sold hundreds of these chairs and had no bad reviews. LIARS! This is a bad product put together with a wish. Save your money. I also never heard from the company again. It would make good firewood. I disassembles itself!
