These drawers are made in Vietnam, the parts are labeled wrong, when they are labeled. I started putting together the drawers and after putting the side together they were bowed. Then I took the top out of the box and he top was bowed also. These are held together by those cheap cam locks. Dont buy anything from Canwood.. I have put together 3 others and I had to reinforce them and I used glue and clamped it over night so it will not fall apart..

The dresser bottom are cardboard so I am waiting to see how long it will take for "Dad my dresser draw is broken".

Pros: Most of the wood is real; that is, most of it is actual dimension lumber. There are some particle board pieces, but the structural components are real wood. They look nice and they are strong.

Cons: The fastening hardware for this DIY assembly kit is junk. It belongs in a scrap pile back at the factory. In fact, that's probably where they got it. Let me explain. The cam-lock system used in most modern furniture kits typically works well. However, the cams in this kit are of very poor quality metal. I use the term "metal" loosely. When you turn the cams in an attempt to lock the wood components in place, they either shear off or break into pieces. I had to scrap the whole cam-lock system. Instead of packaging up the heavy furniture kit and shipping it back for a refund (too much hassle), I drove to the local hardware store for some real wood screws. I put in a couple of these screws at every joint where the cam-lock would normally be placed. It worked and the dresser is now a solid piece of furniture for my daughter. The buyer should not be required to come up with his/her own fastening hardware though.

In conclusion, if you want a kit of pre-cut wood pieces to build your own dresser, this set will work. But if you expect everything in this kit to work as advertised, prepare to be disappointed.

The assembly process was fairly straight forward, however, the dowel pins provided wire too small for the holes. I had to glue them in and the alignment was not great. The finish of the chest is nice but the drawer function is very poor. The drawers come off the slides and they stick. The drawers don't close well and alignment is not great.

This is a great dresser! I was concerned about the color being a little too bright, but it matches my boys twin bunk bed set perfect! I was able to put it together myself! It is sturdy! Very please with this purchase and i would recommended to anyone!

Not the sturdyest of furnitures, but if you get lucky all the pieces will fit well, and once you play musical draws it may all fit together without looking retarded. I lucked out, and the dresser looks good. I'm also using it as a changing table in a small babyroom. It was the ideal color, height, and with. And price I should add. If I had a bigger room and budget, I might go with a different one, but beggars can't be choosers.
