Ameriwood Media Dresser, 37-Inch

This product is a very nice looking. Has very good quality though using particle board wood for construction. The instructions are a mess, nothing but pictures to guide you along. One review said the item is darker than what is shown on the site. That reviewer is 100% correct the color is more a black/brown than what is shown in the pictures.

Pros:

+ Looks great

+ Very sturdy (once back is nailed on)

+ 4 drawers with decent space

Cons:

Poor instructions

Horrible organization of hardware (all the screws, cam-locks, etc in one bag not labeled. Had to separate myself)

Drawers not as deep as I'd hoped for. (Still have decent space)

Compartments under top are useless. Can only put one device on second level. I had to put my TV and Cable box on top. Saved the second shelf for DVD player

I do think the product is made of good quality but the cam-locks made installation very frustrating. Couple that with poor instructions putting this together can give you a headache. However, once you get it together you will love the way it looks.

I do not review products....I received this and the side panel had a very ugly crack in it. I decided to keep it...with the fact that a replacement would take 14 days. I found the instructions very clear. The material however not so much. Too much pressure on any one screw seem to make the wood crumble. After almost 3 hours and 90% completed ( I KNOW TERRIBLE) it looked as if when done the slightest touch would cause this thing to fall apart. Considering this is for my children's room failure it not an option. Amazon is sending a replacement on Rush order...I may just send it back. I really love the look of this dresser. :.. (

Awesome TV dresser but horrible to put together. Too many parts that are not labeled properly and was package all in one plastic bag. The manufacturer should have packed it better. Also, the color is a little darker than the picture.

It seems heavy enough. I couldn't tell you what it looks like assemblied as I didn't get instructions with mine. Went to manufactures website to order a book, but never got a response a week later, haven't been able to get in thru their support by calling. So I'd recommend staying far away from this unless ameriwood starts supporting their product. Don't really wanna try to repackage the thing up and send 100+ lb package back to amazon, so I may attempt to assemble it blind, it looks doable. UPDATED: Finally got an email back from ameriwood with instructions and got it together. It seems sturdy enough but the cam lock construction leaves a lot to be desired.

Pretty good quality, but when I opened the box, it smelled like china sweat shop. But assembly took about 25 minutes.
