Orchard Hills Four Drawer Chest

This is a 4-drawer dresser chest. The top drawer looks like it is two drawers, but it is one drawer with a divider between internally. It assembles rather easily in less than 2 hours. It does not require any more tools than a screwdriver and hammer. Anyone can assemble this dresser.

I give this 4-stars not for quality, but for economy functionality. There are many more quality dressers for sale, but what makes this one unique, is its economy price. It looks good, and will last for years if not abused. Its worst enemy is water. DO NOT set a glass of water or a flower pot on its surface unprotected. Water will easily penetrate the oak veneer and cause the surface to bubble irrepairably. The veneer may also chip showing the press-board beneath. If this happens, the cosmetic damage can be repaired with a like-colored wood stain. This will not make it brand-new condition, but it makes the spot less noticeable.

Care for the dresser by dusting it regularly. Do not spray duster directly on the surface of this dresser. Instead, spray the rag lightly and lightly dust. Don't allow the surface to remain wet.

Definitely an economy product, but a nice functional one.

This looks sturdy outside but flimsy inside. Biggest headache to put together. Veneer chipping already looks old. Biggest problem is the stupid lock systemfinally had to abort the use of the lock system in order to get the drawers to close. I never imagined it would be such a headache to put it together!

This chest is a great value. Most furniture in this price range is, frankly, garbage. This chest seems quite sturdy and rugged. It is not very tall, so for a child's room it would be perfect. I would recommend it to anyone looking for attractive budget furniture.

It arrived ahead of time in good condition. We were pleased with that. It had one small part missing but we assembled it without it and it seems fine. It's a very attractive piece of furniture.
