Got two of these more than a month ago and put each together right away. It's looked very nice in our bedroom, and there was enough room between the two of them for our purposes, but they are rather smallish, so one by itself will probably not work for the average person.I am rating as three stars for a few reasons.
Size: it's a bit small.
Sturdiness: it's not bad, but not so good either. Without taking care, this will not last for the long term. Not that it is flimsy, but it isn't made of the thickest wood, either.
Ease of assembly: it was a pain. If you're like me, you're doing this on a weekend and/or in the evening, and the last thing you want to do is feel like you are assembling a puzzle rather than putting something together you actually need and want to get it done so you can relax. The instructions and labeling make you work to figure it out, and you have to be careful not to make a mistake. On the other hand, once assembled, it all all fits together rather well for a nice fit an finish, unlike some home assembly items I have put together.
If you can get past the above issues it's not a bad purchase. We are pretty happy with them. On the other hand, we probably wouldn't make the purchase knowing what we do now, and would spend extra at a furniture store for a bigger and sturdier piece of furniture (which, of course, would cost more, too, so depending on your budget...).I enjoyed assembling the Prepac King Storage Headboard previously, and I'll probably order another one of these because I do need two drawer chests. I took my time and constantly reviewed the instructions and had a good result, but I did notice that some of the the wood for the drawers seemed awfully soft and a few of the predrilled pieces were sloppily done. Again, I'll probably order another, but I think my run with assemble yourself furniture is just about done.
