Snack Side Table with Frosted Glass Top Chrome Base

I'm very happy with this product overall. It's as pretty as I hoped it would be, (nicer than my husband and I anticipated, actually.) I even found a reason to get second one because I like it so much. lol That'll have to wait for the future, however.

I would have given it five stars if not for what appears to be an accidental extra screw hole, as well as micro scratches on the chrome (that are hard to see, and which I, a perfectionist, don't mind). The extra screw hole is under the extended top in a corner, but unless you're laying on the floor you can't see that either; and I'm sure I'm going to forget it exists eventually.

I got this for storing ugly electronics with lots of wires (modem and router on top, battery surge-protector thing on bottom,) but while I admit that this is a bit over-kill for that use, if you need to store ugly things, why not pretty it up? It's just the right size for such a use, which is the main reason I picked it for this.

If, however, you intend to use it more typically, (as the picture shows or for an end-table,) I highly recommend it. It's really quite sturdy, easy to assemble, and did I say pretty? Not that it's girly or anything, mind you. The glass sits on top and is held in place only by suction cups, but while that sounds iffy they hold it so well they lifted the table's own weight just by my holding the glass. You have to position the glass a bit carefully, but it's also easy enough to adjust as I had to, not expecting it to stick so fast and strong. (Advice: screw the suction cups and "feet" on instead of trying to push them init's much easier this way as they fit tightly in their holes.) The underside of the glass is frosted, and is barely see-through, (gotta press something against it to see it more clearly.) I did just assemble it at night in dim lighting, though, so I'm curious how it'll look in full daylight.

We were nervous about this purchase because there were no reviews, (and we've bought a lot of things lately that turned out to have major flaws,) but with how easy we found Amazon returns to be in the past we figured we might as well go for it. I'm glad I braved it! It was packed up so much it took me almost as long to unpack the main box it's in from the tons of extra packaging around it, as to screw the whole piece together. And I should add that before opening it I knocked the box to the ground once, which would've smashed up glass in other packaging I've seen. Because of this I doubt anyone will get a broken one. And it was MUCH better quality than a Pier 1 side table my husband just got, which cost twice as much! That stuff was junk, and this is pretty nice unless you expect perfection, (but for fifty bucks, you WON'T find it for a table like this.)

I had been looking for a small table to use when we have a large number of guests. Because our gathering area has limited space, we opted not to have a coffee table in front of the main sofa. This little table is just the right size for 2 people to rest a glass of wine.

There are many versions of this table available in stores like CB2. This one is less than half the price for what appears to be equal quality, the difference being this one does not arrive assembled.

The chrome legs are too shiny for my liking, however, I only use this table when we have a crowd. For the price, I bought two and will learn to ignore the legs.

This table is easy to assemble and takes up very little space in my small living room. The only reason I gave it 4 stars out of 5 is because of the design. If this table's height could be adjusted, it would be perfect.
