I ordered this bed frame because it included the headboard, footboard, and rails. For the price this was a great deal with everything included. The frame arrived a day early, which was also nice! In any case, just a few comments.1 the frame is much darker than in the picture, more a black/charcoal gray. Still worked with my room so this was fine.
2 instructions were... interesting. It took my fiancee and I 2 trys to get the pieces assembled correctly, but overall still took less than 30 minutes to assemble. Comes with an allen wrench, but we also used a pair of pliers to tighten the frame.
3 the frame itselft is great! Very sturdy we have a memory foam mattress (VERY HEAVY) and the cross beam in the frame supports this bed very well... so much better than the frame that come with the bed.
4 the headboard is a bit wobbly. The headboard and footboard are the same piece, however the headboard has to two that insert the bottom to make it higher. The poles and the footboard are nice and sturdy, but the headboard (on the poles) is definitely wobbly. Not a deal breaker for me, but just wanted to warn you. Still thinking of ways we can "firm it up"...
Overall we are very pleased with this purchase. Would purchase from Hillsdale again.
