Lucca Platform Storage Bed

I've owned this bed twice. I purchased and used for several years before I moved and sold it. Recently, I purchased another. The bed looks great and is very comfortable. But the big draw is the storage capacity under the mattress. A king size bed holds eight underbed storage bins. If you're looking for a way to get some extra storage without sacrificing comfort this bed does that.

I did see some comments regarding the gaps around the mattress. With the mattress I'm using (LUCID memory foam), the gaps on each side are about 1.5 inches. With sheets and a duvet, it fits very nicely and there's no problem with the gaps.

I purchased the queen Bed and am pleased with the comfort and utility of the Bed. The matress fits with a small gap but that is to be expected in a lift storage bed for functionality of the lift mechanisim itself. The space stores more than I expected.

I just bought this bed and found that this king bed is 82 inch width, which create 6 inches (3 inches both side) gap when use standard king size (76 x 80) mattress. This is big drawback of this storage bed.

Now looking for solution, how to fix this gap.
