Picture shows walnut-colored chest, with contrasting wood inserts. This would have blended well with furniture we have. Actual chest is more of a dark cherry stain and the wood inserts are the same color.

This chest was very good quality. There was one problem I had, and that was one of the locking screws that held the chest together did not lock. This was minor because it didn't affect the assembly.
