Coaster Daybed Pop-Up Trundle Frame and Rail, Twin

Just purchased this frame ships from CA. so took 1 week FedEx. Frame is heavy is very sturdy and rolls easily on casters. NO ASSEMBLY REQUIRED! so refreshing. This will work well for my overnite guests. It stores under a twin daybed. I had researched this quite alot before purchasing local stores and online and I feel I got a good product at a good price. I put a Sam's Club twin mattress on this for $99.00. Would recommend.

I had one of these in our daughter's room. The mechanism that causes the bed to stay in the raised position can fail (easily) and, if you look at how the bed is built, the "X" design on the ends can scissor down on a child's head, arm, finger, etc. I am so sad to see that this design still exists. PLEASE be aware that this should not be in a home with children, and if it must be used please do so in the lowered position and tie it down so a child cannot raise it.

I was nervous after reading the other review about the safety of losing a hand and can see what they mean. Even though my kids are in their 20's, I was concerned about our small dogs going underneath and someone reaching under to pull them out. So, my hubby made two choks out of 2x4 woodplaced at the cross side on each end when open, from frame to floor. Everyone is happy that the dogs are safe. I wouldn't recommend this for a household with young children.

The springs to lift this mechanism are pretty strong when first releasing the mechanism I almost got hit in the face and would have surely lost my teeth if I had. The whole concept made me very uncomfortable where a child could get caught under the mechanism and seriosly hurt. Eventaully it just broke and popped way up. Thank goodness nobody did get hurt but I will not have one of these in my house again. This was a lot of money wasted on this product.

I cannot comment on this product's usability as it arrived without any packaging whatsoever, rails scratched and bent. I did not even remove the plastic ties holding it together flimsily. It was obviously going to be a problem. Why is a $200 bed not shipped properly packed? I am truly shocked.
