Sonoma Armoire

I have 2 major issues with this purchase. First, the assembly instructions are confusing and in one place wrong! The instructions tell you (twice) to use 4 "black twister dowels" to attach the front of each drawers to the sides, but the picture has you using the "green twister dowels." The black twister dowels are too long for this purpose, and you only get enough of the green twister dowels for the body of the armoire. I had to call the company to request 8 more green twister dowels. They said they are sending them in the mail, but I haven't received them yet, and it's been over a week. Also, when you are assembling the armoire, make sure you study the pictures closely because the words can be unclear sometimes. Second, I feel that the quality of the material that the armoire is made out of is cheaper and flimsier than I expected for the price. We have yet to use the armoire (because I'm still waiting for the dowels), and I hope it lasts for years to come. We'll see...

The assembled product looks very nice; however, the drawer fronts don't fit tightly. The dowels are, as another reviewer pointed out, too long. I also had a few missing / damaged parts, but Prepac quickly sent replacements despite the holidays and blizzard. (I contacted the company via the email listed on the directions.)

I'd have been really happy with this armoire if I'd only spent in $99 $150 range. For $250, though, I expected more.

We like this piece for function and overall appearance. We had difficulty with assembly and the drawers do not fit on the glides properly.

Bought this product for the size and the price. It is a nice cabinet with a lot of space used for games, books and file bins. I didn't expect this quality for the price. The cabinet is much less expensive than a solid wood cabinet but it serves its purpose, looks great, and is holding up quite well. Did arrive with one cracked board for the back of the drawer, but its inexpensive wood I glued the crack and it is fine (the manufacturer does send clear instructions in case you need a part replaced but it wasn't necessary in this case). Relatively easy to put together. Product description is accurate.

This armoire has wonderful reviews on many other websites; however, I decided to purchase from amazon because I was familiar with them & they're a good company. I'm thankful that I made that decision. When this armoire arrived, it was missing parts, but in my determination to just get it put together, I proceeded. It fell apart about half-way through the process & broke. In determination yet again, I used wood glue to fix it. It took 3 men to complete the job. One of which is a certified contractor. Wood glue was used in many places in attempts to hold it together. It still came apart when we tried to position it on the wall. I contacted the packaging company like my instructions said to do if anything was missing. They never returned my calls; therefore, I never received the missing parts in order to completely put the armoire together. There were many other things wrong with this armoire. Some would say that you get what you pay for, but not in this case. I've seen similar quality in stores for considerably less money. I finally contacted Amazon & they immediately offered replace or refund my money. Glad I ordered from Amazon!
