Buy Powell Monster Bedroom Study Loft Bed, Twin Now
It is rare that I am so satisfied with every aspect of a product. I assumed this would be good quality, but a humongous hassle to put together. Actually, not only is it sturdy as a rock, but my husband and I got it from box to final bolt in under 2 hours--even with 2 little "helpers." My 6 yr old son is thrilled, and we feel good that it has good safety features--guard rail goes all the way around, ladder is bolted on. It has a smooth shiny finish, and looks very nice, however, be warned if you have a little house: it is BIG.Read Best Reviews of Powell Monster Bedroom Study Loft Bed, Twin Here
I shopped for two months trying to find the right loft for my 9 yr old. After reading review after review and going to store after store this is what was in our price range with the best reviews. It came freight shipping, which was free with prime, and thank god the guy brought inside for me. Only complaint is that it weighs more than myself!! It is mostly put together already so the box is huge!
My daughter loves it! Its very sturdy even with her and her friend in the bed. The ladder is metal, but the steps are flat not rounded so they are easier to walk on. It took me and my dad putting it together. Its a beast.
Overall, couldnt be happier!!!

Ok, be aware, this box is freaking huge. It took two people to move it without a dolly. Getting it off the semi that delivered it was a pain. BUT...it's an awesome bed.I was concerned about assembly because 1)I only had my ten and eleven year old children to help, though I had another adult on stand-by if needed and 2) I am inept with this sort of thing. But no fear, right? It went FAR better than I expected. The first step is BY FAR the hardest, because you have to attach the two ends to the bed support part, so you have to hold the support part five feet up in the air and somehow manage to bolt it into the legs. It took three hours in total to assemble the bed, and this took probably an hour alone.
Once that was done, assembly was straightforward. Only one place where the instructions were a bit unclear, but if you look at it carefully enough and look at the parts and THINK for a second, instead of rushing to get done like I did, you should be ok. (The part where you attach the desk surface...it rests on the end pieces, you don't have to hold it up while bolting it in! You will thank me later...)
This thing is STURDY. It has a 300 lb weight limit, but I think my wife and I could climb up there and be safe. Cozy, but safe. All of the load-bearing material is heavy-duty steel, and the hardware is appropriately hefty. I have ZERO concerns about my son's safety sleeping in this loft.
Finally, it just looks totally cool. The picture doesn't do it justice. The big patches of diamond plate, the wire bits, it all just looks totally badass. My son absolutely adores his. I cannot recommend this loft highly enough.
