I ordered two of these side tables to use as a return for my desk. The shelves will work perfectly for the multitudes of stuff I need to store and the color is perfect with the old teacher's desk I use. There was one small issue one package came without the necessary hardware to put the table together. I contacted the company through Amazon and they replied that same night and sent my hardware on its way to me! That fast! It is hard to know from the description and the photo that these are a rich golden wood color the word "brown" just does not do these tables justice. I am very pleased with this purchase. And the company gets a big A+ for their quality customer service!

Overall I am happy with this item. It works well as a bookshelf/sofa table. It was packed well and was not too hard to put together. It was a bit of a challenge to screw the top on because there were no pre-drilled holes and you had to make sure that the top was centered. Shipping was fast. It comes in a few other colors such as black. The shelf height is not adjustable.

We spent alot of time looking for an inexpensive sofa table to use in our basement. When ordering this one we were skeptecle due to the low price, but were pleasantly surprised. The table looks like it came from a nice furniture store. You will not be disappointed.

I agree with other reviewers; you get what you pay for. I wasn't expecting a high end piece of furniture for $112, but I was expecting to receive something in good condition for the money paid. When I initially began to unpack the box, I was somewhat impressed by the top and sides of the table. They looked like they were of good quality (better than I was expecting). But then I pulled the shelves out. Very thin, very cheap. One was cracked, and the other was warped because it just hadn't been assembled properly. Even if the shelves had been undamaged, I wouldn't trust them to hold much weight. The box it came in was very well packaged and arrived unscathed, so I can only assume the damage was already there when this item was packaged by the manufacturer. Quality control is obviously nonexistent.

I contacted Coaster directly figuring that like other "assemble it yourself" furniture companies, they would send me replacement shelves. They never responded to my inquiry. Digging further, I discovered that if a consumer has any issues, they are expected to get in touch with the retailer where the item was purchased. So basically, they are dodging any responsibility for their products. POOR!

I contacted Amazon, and received wonderful service from them. They couldn't replace the shelves, but offered me a number of options. Two involved returning the table (which given it's size and the unlikelihood I could actually get it all back in the box, I opted not to take). Ultimately, Amazon issued me a 40% "goodwill" refund of the item (within 24 hours of my initiating complaint) which I'm keeping as a reminder to never buy a Coaster product again.

I also recommended to Amazon that they stop carrying the Coaster product line, since they are obviously being handed all the responsibility for customer service by this deadbeat company.

For the price, I was very impressed with the quality of this table. From what I can tell, it is solid wood and was pretty easy to put together. The instructions are a little hard to understand. We did okay once we figured out that you assemble it upside down.
