Everybody's very impressed whenever I raise, lower or extend this table. It's very clever and does exactly what I need it to do in my space-constrained living room. On the downside, while it does look great from above, it's somewhat ugly from any other angle the exposed mechanism isn't pretty, the legs are rather too ironing-board-like, and the black surface displays fingerprints and dust far too easily.
The raising/lowering mechanism is stiff and the lever doesn't give good feedback it isn't anything like raising or lowering a gas-operated chair, more a case of mushing the lever to one side, hauling upwards and/or downwards, and hoping that it isn't going to lurch too far (it hasn't yet!). It's almost a two-person task.
The end-leaves are spring-loaded and snap into place with alarming force when fully pulled out. I wouldn't want to have a body part in the way. This might not be a good table to have around children.
In short, it's no Ozzio Box T110, but it is 1/6th the price and generally in stock on the same continent, so it's hard to argue with the value. And it really does wow your guests.
