Jakarta Mahogany Platform Bed

Assembly was pretty easy. The bed (especially the headboard) looks nice and is of a pretty good quality. Have slept on it now for a few weeks and it is sturdy. Only complaint is that the bed is slightly wider than my mattress (which is a queen size Bergad memory foam mattress...no box springs). As a result, you can see an inch or so of the unpainted bed slats. But maybe my mattress is a bit non-standard, I really don't know. No big deal, the bed sheets cover it up. Anyhow, I like the bed overall.

We are pleased with this bed and it is ideal for our guest room. I see that Amazon has now rebranded this item--when we bought it, it was called "Jakarta Mahogany"--in fact the wood is Indonesian 'Shorea.' We had no trouble putting the bed together but be aware that the delivery truck will only provide street-side delivery and you will probably want to help the driver with the off loading. We opened the large box on the driveway and carried the pieces, one by one, into the house.

Assembled quickly and easily in about 20 30 mins.

At this moment, we're awaiting delivery of a new mattress for this base. Will update if any issues come after some use.

As of now, highly recommended based just on the material and ease of assembly. Made in Indonesia.
