A few things, the bed is NOT difficult to put together if you have ever assembled other furniture items. It CAN be assembled by ONE person, just use a little ingenuity and put bed on it's side and then attach the two main side rails. Next, lift it up on it's edge and put the rest together. Lifting off edge may require help since it's heavy, but I did this myself however I'm a large fairly strong man (6'3 295lbs).

I did make the same mistake as someone else on another site mentioned. I put the bed base (the part that the mattress goes on) in backwards. Just make sure the side with 3 holes goes to the back, it's latter needed to attach the shelves.

Other than that it just takes some time, about 2 hours and that was fixing my mistake. Otherwise about 1 to 1:30 hours.

Note: Use a cordless drill it will save HUGE time when bolting together. Just cut the supplied alien wrench L shape off then insert the straight piece in to drill SAVES SO MUCH TIME. I do this all the time now when I get stuff that requires alien wrench bolts for assembly.

This is a really nice looking and study loft bed workstation. The instructions and parts were very organized and everything was there including the tools needed to assemble. Assembly was easy (about 2 hours) but you need a couple of people to put together because of holding parts together while assembly. Buy from this vendor, the price was $300 cheaper than other identical beds sold by other vendors. The delivery was to my garage and the delivery people were on time and called a day ahead to confirm. I had no problem, but I did email to ask a question after my order was placed and response was fast and very helpful. You will love this product!

This bed was bought for a teen boy and he loves it. It took 3 people to put together as it is heavy. It took about 2-3 hours. The only problem we encountered with the actual product was one of the holes for the screws did not line up (on the desk portion of the bed) The delivery company called us 2 days before to make sure we would be home, but they did not give us a time when they would be delivering, so we had to wait around until they came. Once they came there was only one delivery person and he had no gate on his semi. For a product this heavy a gate or 2 people is necessary. He had a difficult time getting it off the truck. One box was completely broken open on both ends and looked smashed up. I inspected it and all seemed to be ok but I insisted the delivery person write down on the delivery slip that the box was damaged. The desk did have a few spots where the paint was scratched because of the box damage, but it was not a big enough deal to think about returning the bed. Overall the bed is excellent for the price and it fits a full size mattress and bunkie board perfectly.

Where to start...We recieved the product in a timely fashion. The first problem was the delivery company Furniture Creations (FC) chose to use for delivery. The truck showed up with 1 guy. He said that getting such a heavy item off the truck by himself was going to be impossible(duh!). He seemed preterbed that my wife and kid would not be able to help him much with the heavy boxes. He decided he would remove everything on the truck and move it to the front yard. He had no lift or dolley on the truck and used my son's skateboard to move the parts. My wife noted that the screen that goes behind the desk shelving had been punctured and was damaged. The shipment was left in my front yard for me to deal with when I got home.

After going through the manifest it was apparent there were no instructions or hardware. We contacted FC and let them know that we had a bed we could not assemble and needed the parts. The girl seemed eager to help, said no problem she would contact the manufacturer and have them send us missing parts. During the next 2 weeks, emails about the parts were not answered and calls were taken and we were assured that the parts were shipped. Fast forward 2 weeks later and still no parts.

At this point, my kid had been sleeping on the floor for 3 weeks and I decided I would pay the manufacturer for the hardware just to get it done.

After contacting the manufacturer and asking to verify if FC had contacted them to send parts out, they said they had never been contacted about missing parts by FC...nice. They were very helpful and said they would send out instructions and hardware. We recieved these about a week later and assembled the bed.

During assembly it became apparent that we were missing the 2 keyboard tray sliders as well as the 3 brackets that hold up the shelf. I emailed the manufacturer about those parts as well and no longer get a response, so who knows if I'll ever complete the bed.

At this point Im missing the keyboard tray and the shelf brackets and assume that will have to do. My kids off the floor after a month, and thats the best thing. The bed itself is great. If I'd have undamaged delievery and manage to get all the parts, then I would have rated this a 5. Otherwise this is the worst experience I've had buying anything off Amazon. I'll stick with "Fulfilled by Amazon" from here on out. Good luck if you bite.

Very sturdy. Assembly was not too difficult but did require two people. We've had two of these for a year now and our kids love them!
