Prepac Monterey Cherry Tall Double Platform Storage Bed (12-drawers)

So I'm 6'1", and after I ordered this bed I was reading reviews that made it sound like a full wasn't big enough for taller people, I'm happy to say that's not the case.

Pros -

Drawers So much space! I really needed storage space and the _12_ large drawers have been invaluable. I have clothes, tools, toys, accessories etc in these drawers, they're not overly heavy duty, but they're nice and deep and I haven't had any issues with them.

Quality It's a nice color, and all the components are very solid. Nothing that feels flimsy

Cons -

This thing has something like 500 screws or locks you have to assemble to put it together, my back hurt for a while after putting it together.

Great bed, perfect for people who need an extra storage solution.

The material made from is very cheap and fragile. Cracks with extreme ease! Not a sturdy bed at all. Also important, you can only use a 5 inch mattress with it.

Did a lot of shopping when I needed a bed. This was the best price for a bed with storage. I had heard these beds with storage are bad feng shui. Too much going on beneath you while you sleep. I figure it just adds to your dreams. All that stuff is available if needed.

The bed was easy enough to assemble but it was a lot of work. I used a square to make sure the drawers were all 90 degrees. I am a 260 lb. guy and it seems strong enough so far. Some of the reviews complain about the extensive use of particle board but what do you want at this price?

I like the height of this bed and I like the proliferate amount of storage space. It is a good looking piece of furniture as well. The bed was nicely packed. The outside of the boxes had taken some damage but inside everything was nicely protected. There were four boxes and they were each HEAVY!

As I said before it was two days of tedious turning of the screws and reading the directions. I am a retired mechanic and I couldn't finish this assembly in one day. Do be careful and make sure you're assembling correctly the first time because it's one of those things, wood screws, where you don't get a second chance to make perfect.

my old bedroom has new life again...this is a great product sure u need many patience to assemble but let me say after a couple hours of thinking and placing together i am so happy looks great has great storage and serves the purpose truly...i like this

Heads up when your putting this together, when your to the point of putting the foot of the bed on its tricky due to the slats dont want to stay in the headboard part( we had 1 slat that was compleatly warped n they seem really cheap time will tell) Lift the bottom of the footboard up and have someone help you line up the slats other wise you will be putting one in on the head side and the foot side pops out and vise versa. If that was the only issue i would have had it was livable but it seems there QUEEN size bed is more of a FULL size bed so now i have a mess. Sense i already put the bed together and boxes are in the trash im not messing with trying to send it back, very dissappointed it this..........its been 3 weeks and this thing has busted in 4 spots!! I am sending it back it is made from the cheapest material there is,i simply sat on it after having surgery and its broke at the head board and foot board(im not very heavy either)
