FinishWakefield Seven Drawer Dresser

We ordered the Bolton Wakefield 7 drawer dresser and 5 drawer chest from Amazon. At first we were nervous about ordering such large furniture items from Amazon, but I have always been impressed with their customer service so I decided to give it a try. First, the prices on Amazon beat out the prices of all the other websites I checked out for the furniture. The furniture was shipped within a week (which is relatively a short time frame since most furniture stores take at least a month), and the customer service reps who called to schedule a delivery were very friendly. The gentleman who actually delivered it was careful in handling the box, and pointed out several rips (not big ones) so that we could check for damage.

But you probably want to read about the actual furniture! First of all, it came assembled, which I was not expecting. The piece looks gorgeous in person and of high quality, and at least for now, has a nice woody smell. It's made of nice solid wood. One thing to note is that the finish is lighter than in the picture-truly more of a honey color. If you search "Bolton Wakefield," the bookcase shown on Amazon more accurately represents the color. (We knew this before ordering, though the different colors for the dresser and chest were a bit confusing). Both units we ordered seem to have a decent capacity. We've only had the pieces for one day, so I can't speak much on how they'll wear and tear, but so far they're great!

I got this dresser for my son in 2011 and it is well made, sturdy, and has lots of storage. I also got the Mission twin bed and have been impressed with the quality. I intend to get the same pieces for my daughter soon. Highly recommend!

This product is really well made all wood. My only problem with it was the very poorly packed. Product was strapped with the front facing out at the edge of the pallet. and the card board was tore and some very bad chipping happed because of packing. I took it anyways and used some wood putty to some what repaired the damage. Bolton needs to invest in better cardboard for protecting the product

I ordered this dresser for my son who is moving into his "big boy" room. I was worried about ordering such a large piece from Amazon, but it was a piece of cake...came very promptly with a nice phone call from the shipping company that worked out a convenient time.

It is a beautiful dresser that is very well made...the only problem we had is that we put rubber dinosaurs (my son's room is a dino theme) on the top of it and the finish had a bad reaction with the rubber...it wore off the finish to the wood. We were devastated and thought that it would never be the same again...but my worries were for nothing. I called Bolton directly and the customer service experience was amazing. They are shipping me a brand new top and offered to do a call to talk my husband through the mechanics of switching them. I sent them pictures so they could try to figure out what the problem was because they were very concerned about other customers having issues.

I would not only order another piece of Bolton furniture (and probably will as we have other rooms to finish), but I would recommend them to anyone that was in the market for furniture. Their quality is beautiful and the customer service and pride in their workmanship is top notch!

Product is A-1 American made. Better than anything I could find in the local met area except for some Amish built chests. However, the Amish built chests were two or three times the price and perhaps ten percent nicer in some ways. I highly reccomend this product and this vendor. Delivery was perfect. The product was brought into my home and placed exactly where I wanted it to be placed. Turn around time was exceptional. I would buy from this vendor again.
