Update#1Not ten minutes after I wrote the origianl review, I heard a thump and a wail from his bedroom. Upon invesigation, I discovered that he had tried to climb over the footboard and rolled when he was halfway over it, which ripped the ties(they're not long enough to go around ANY red part of the footboard, just barely enough to tie around the metal leg) right off, the plastic C ring popped off and the tension sprang it back into his midsection, which annoyed him. Had to take the tent off before we even had it a week. Don't pay extra for the tent, like we diddefinitely not worth it. Get the 40 dollar regular bed instead. Also, if your child loves to play in tents, it makes the bed a play place, not a sleep place. My son loves it! It's easy to get him to take naps in his big boy bed.
The tent pictured comes with the bed. The headboard, footboard and guardrails are made of a sturdy plastic and the frame is made of thick and sturdy metal bars. The metal bars are threaded into a blue canvas material to support the mattress. It holds a regular crib mattress snug, with no chance of a little foot or toy getting caught in between (although my son has managed to shove a Matchbox car in there with much effort).
The tent part is nice for novelty's sake, but it's probably going to come off soonit's hard to put your sleeping toddler inside from the foot or head of the bed. There are only 2 stickers, as seen in the picture. I accidentally put both on the inside sections because I had expected 4 stickers.
Setup is fairly quick and easy. You'll need a screwdriver and that's it for tools. The instructions for the tent may be a bit confusing if you've never put a real tent together before, and if you have put one together, the tent is the "hardest" part!

our 14 month old boy loves his bed! We had it for a couple of months now and are very pleased with it so far.The frame was easy to assemble, but the instructions for how to attach the tent part were very vague and i thought that some parts were missing (nothing was missing). A call to Delta customer service cleared up the confusion.
We had to take the tent part of it off because he was too excited and kept climbing in and out and tried to jump out (we will put it back on in a couple of years)

I bought this toddler bed together with Safety 1st Heavenly Dreams Crib Mattress, White, as you recommend, and the matress doesn't fit, is about one and a half inch bigger in both sides. I took the measures of both, matress and bed and the bed is the one that comes smaller, I cant believe this, and in the manual says that the correct matress size for the bed is the matress size I bought!!!I'm realy sad about this, I had to travel to bring it home, I live in Mexico, so this is a real problem for me and my toddler can't sleep any more in his crib, he climbs out.
I want to know if amazon sells a one and a half inch smaller matress, or a one and a half inch bigger toddler bed.So the bed is pretty sturdy, my complaint is with the canopy, it goes together with tent like poles, and in less than a week all 3 broke from the tension of the canopy. And if I want to return it I will have to disassemble the entire bed and send it back. So for now he will have to sleep with a lopsided canopy on the bed.
