I had been looking for months for a sofa table for my family room which has oak antiques. I had looked in many furniture stores and on line and found only one table at a high end furniture store that might have been acceptable in the $1000 range. Many of the tables were too high, too flimsy, wrong color or made out of manufactured wood. This is perfect at 28" high. I do woodworking so I had considered buying the unfinished worked wood parts and assembling a table myself but that would have been in the $600+ range and alot of work. The table was not in any of the stores in my area but I did find some Coaster Furniture items. Some were very nice and others left alot to be desired (traits of mass manufactured furniture I think -luck of the draw on the QA/QC). I had never ordered furniture sight unseen so I had prepared myself for being disappointed but the table is very nice. It assembled easily in about 10 minutes. The grain pattern on the top ( it has whorls) would not have been my first choice as I prefer a clearer grain which I know are more difficult to come by. However the grain does add character to the table and blends/complements the oak antiques in the room very nicely. The whole table is solid wood. Even the drawer bottoms are wood and nicely lined with a warm brown flocking. Table is very heavy and stable. The only issue I have is that the handles are not set at matched levels on the horizontal line about 1/2 inch off. No one in my family noticed and probably most people coming to the house wouldn't but it does bug me. Because of the way they attach they cannot be moved without leaving holes that would have to be filled and finished so I will solve the problem today by purchasing slightly larger pulls and set them evenly. In summary, this table at less than $300 is an extremely good value.
I bought this table as an extra storage unit.It matched my other furniture, the quality was excellent and the price was great.
