I was so excited to find this set. Saved my money and ordered it. I had read most of the reviews, and all said it was a pain to put together due to not so great instructions, but all said it was a high quality set so worth the trouble. The chairs are wonderful, good looking and comfortable. I am terribly disapointed in the table. yes, it looked great put together, but my husband, who put it together said it was not good quality. Then, the top scratched and we havent a clue what could have done that, and why? the white scratched off in a couple places. nothing hard was set on the table when this happened. a couple cardboard boxes of kitchen supplies and a styrofome (sp?)cooler was all. Then later, playing cards with family, the coins caused marks!!! I am VERY DISAPOINTED in the poor quality of the table top. I would not recomend this product to anyone. the chairs, yes, the table, NO!!
The Good:
It isn't cheap. The quality is very, very good. I was suprised at how well made it was. The table top is heavy duty, and the vinyl seems durable. It's gorgeous. The product image doesn't give it justice. This is an excellent addition to any Route 66 Diner themed kitchen. I absolutely love it. I'll be adding the additional chairs shortly.
The Bad:
The directions are horrible. They are poorly translated and leave out key elements like the chairback supports being left-to-right specific. It requires someone with mechanical inclination to sort it out. Additionally, there are no pilots for the screws into the chair bottom. You'll need a power screw driver or a drill. Lastly, some of the hex connections bind pretty badly. There was one I wasn't able to fully seat.
However, none of this stops me from recommending it. I am very happy with this purchase.

We could not be happier with this set, it really did exceed our expectations. It is very sturdy, quality materials, and looks much more expensive that it was.As for the assembly... we were a little intimidated going into it after reading some of the reviews online, but it was really a piece of cake. Grant it the written instructions are purely for comedic value and no help at all, just go by the picture diagram and you will be fine, we put the whole set (4 chairs and the table) together in under 2 hours. Would really recommend this to anyone!!!

I ordered this after reading 2 really positive Amazon ratings. The table wasn't too bad to figure out assembly, but the directions were totally unhelpful. Trial and error was a better method, but it worked out fine.The chairs, however, are very difficult to assemble. You need to do some drilling to get the seat of the chair to its frame, and there are no holes in the seat to attach it. Every chair is going to look a little different as a result. The directions are in chinglish as if someone with a limited understanding of English translated them from Chinese. It'd be funny if they weren't so unhelpful.
Also, putting the back of the chair onto the frame was really annoying and took at least half an hour per chair. My boyfriend and I spent at least 4-5 hours assembling 6 chairs (we ordered an extra two). I was thoroughly frustrated the entire time. They look really great now, but I feel I was misled about how easy the assembly is. Be prepared to spend at least 3-4 hours if you are handy getting everything together, and stay calm because there will be some frustration with every chair. I can't give more than 3 stars to a product that looks good but is really difficult to put together.
