Because the instructions are complicated, I had someone put it together for me, especially since it needs to be anchored to the wall. It looks really great in the room and holds quite a bit. I'm really happy with it.

No parts broken in transit and no parts missing. Took my husband about 3 hrs to put together by himself. Everything went smoothly. Front doors need tweaking a little to get them perfectly aligned which is not hard to do. Love this piece in my bedroom! Would definitely order again!

We bought this because we needed a place in our kitchen to store a few key items (knife block, blender, mixer) in a way that makes them readily accessible to us, while still protecting them from the cats and the cat hair. This item fits the bill perfectly: we even keep the mixer and blender inside it while using them; just ran their cords out a small hole in the back of the cabinet.

Our unit arrived well-packaged and undamaged. It came in two separate packages, both of which were long, wide, flat, and heavy. It was a bit tough moving those into the house with just 1 person, but the actual assembly was simple if you're a reasonably handy person. It took about 3 hours.

As for the unit itself: it's pretty nice. It's inexpensive, and I figured it'd be somewhat cheap-looking and cheap-functioning. After having used it a couple months now, my opinion is that it's not cheap-looking at all, and it's only a bit cheap-functioning. For example, the drawers' sliding action isn't very smooth. And the doors are just a tiny bit too closely-spaced to each other (with no way to adjust that via the hinges that I could figure out), so they press against each other where they meet in the center when both doors are closed. This actually doesn't end up being a problem because that edge on both doors is rounded, so they just kind of slide against each other and into place; it's just a bit weird.

All in all we're quite happy with this item.

I bought this to house my window air con unit. The unit fits perfectly into the bottom half of the top cupboard. I put this armoire in my bedroom so the rest of the space are taken up with bedding and other items. Sturdy construction but the doors are a challenge to hang (it's mis-align somewhat). I am an experience at putting these self assembly units (for reference: I put up the entire IKEA bedroom storage by myself the really tall ones with mirror doors and I'm a 5'4" woman).

Blend in with my other furniture from Crate & Barrel.

It's fine for the money. However the drawer bottoms in particular are flimsy, they need reinforced. I do not think it will stand up to kids.
