Most wall clocks drive me crazy. I don't understand how so many people just don't care about that nonstop tick-tick-tick, when for me it wakes me up in the middle of the night.

This clock is SILENT or as silent as a clock less than $30 can be. However, the "baby blue" is some weird kind of turquoise blue and it is PAPER! Yep, the inside of the clock is colored paper! And the rest of the clock is really thin cheap white plastic. I found a similar clock of the same "craftsmanship" at Walmart and Target for $5. So unless the "silent" feature is totally important to you, this clock is a complete rip off. Also, it goes thru batteries FAST. I have to replaced the AA battery once a month. My previous Mickey Mouse wall clock, which I had for over 20 years, lasted for a YEAR on one AA battery.

Pretty clock, completely quiet, BUT the small hand doesn't line up properly. At 9:10, it looks like it's 8:50. Really annoying.

Ordered this about a year ago and just like it stated it was a pretty quiet clock. Earlier this year though, around April, I began hearing a faint whirring noise coming from behind the clock where the gears and motor were. I didn't pay much attention to it as it was somewhat unnoticeable. Then a couple of months later the noise became more apparent and now I can hear it clearly without having to pay close attention to it like before when the noise wasn't as loud. Putting the clock on the wall only made it worse as it amplified the noise.

It's still a nice looking clock and fairly inexpensive (hence the two stars). Unfortunately it's too loud now to be placed in my bedroom.
