Skyline Furniture North Avenue Upholstered Bed with Nail Button Trim

The bed was packaged well and in perfect condition. The color is not as expected/pictured, but actually really beautiful! The fabric is sort of a canvas weave, but soft, and has more of a taupe/gray feel than what I would consider pewter. It's very neutral and will go with anything. The nailheads are brass. Everything went together as expected, despite some initial mix-ups in wrong screw placement due to the horrible directions. For the people complaining about the corners not being flush here's what I recommend. Place the support "L" brackets at the BOTTOM (underneath the metal frame) of the corners instead of the top (this is contrary to the directions). This works like a charm in keeping the bottom edges from pulling away when you bolt the upholstered sides to the frame. This bed needs a box spring for those asking about that. I recommend this bed if you have a budget, but want decent quality and a rich look. Great buy!

Based on the other reviews for this bed, I ordered it. Overall, the packaging was very good for the long haul to get to us, everything was in good shape. The upholstered pieces are very nice, attractive. If the review were for looks alone, I would give more stars. But... the included hardware and drilled holes were mismatched to the instructions (if they can be called that), there were missing frame pieces as well as extra pieces that seemed to not belong. It was obviously hand packed, so perhaps human error was the problem, or we got pieces for a different bed. Luckily the mattress we purchased came with a foundation that supported the midspan, so we didn't need to order the missing pieces. The upholstered pieces went together well, save a corner we couldn't get quite flush. All in all, happy enough with the end product not to want to deal with the fuss of returning it or figuring out the missing puzzle pieces.

Lastly (not the bed's fault), fair warning the lovely silver fabric is very appealing to cats for scratching...

As always, Amazon.com delivers! We looked all over for an upholstered nail head trip headboard and could find nothing that was even close to reasonably priced. Finally, we came across this one on Amazon and ordered it immediately, with free shipping! It arrived a week earlier than anticipated and was packaged wonderfully with zero damage.

We ripped the boxes off and wasted no time getting it put together. Construction was very easy, my husband did it on his own, only needing my help to get the headboard to the height we wanted it. It's perfect.

We ordered the Pewter and it is a beautiful shade of gray. Definitely true to the definition of pewter. The nail head trim had no defects and the material is very soft. It's a gorgeous bed, and at this price I'd recommend it to anyone!
