Black Leatherette Queen Bed by Poundex

This mattress made by the Poundex company has a nice headboard and footboard, but it is not structurally sound. There are even 2 warning labels on the product about its structural quality (see the uploaded picture). I uploaded a picture showing the 3 small supporting slats in place. This is all that is supposed to keep the mattress from falling to the floor! There is so much space inbetween the slats that my mattress is sagging inbetween them and almost touching the floor, making the entire thing UNUSABLE. Another problem: Those 3 small slats will need to support at least 360 pounds--say a 90 lb mattress and 2 x 135 lb adults. This is unrealistic and at some point something in this bed will break. I don't know what Poundex was thinking when they made this product, or what Vision Decor was thinking by selling it and claiming the original price is $800+. The quality is unforgiveably poor.

My individual experience is that they left out 6 very important screws from my kit, and my bed cannot be assembled permanently without those screws. VisionDecor does not answer the phone (their phone system places you on hold for a few minutes then a message saying to email them and it hangs up), and they take about 24 hours to turn around an email reply. I asked for a full refund for the product. Thankfully, they did offer to refund in full and are arranging a freight pickup. At least they seem to be doing the right thing in this case.

I love the bed it's wonderful looks good in my bedroom, the quality looks rich the price was well worth it.
