Mountain Pine 4 Drawer Chest

The product description on this dresser claims to be "wood with pine finish" but the dresser is actually made out of medium-density fiberboard (MDF). Basically, the dresser is attractive and easy to put together, but only worth about half the price, or maybe less...On this dresser, the drawer fronts and top are MDF with a nice [faux]-pine finish, but the sides have a really cheap finish on them. The back is just a piece of compressed cardboard, so the dresser has to go against a wall. The drawers have to be glued together out of pieces of pre-formed MDF.

There are 19 steps in the assembly brochure, and it can easily be put together by one person, although they recommend having someone help you flip the dresser over to tack on the back panel. You will need a standard size Phillips head screwdriver, a large flat-blade screwdriver, and a hammer. Most of the pieces fit together well, and it looks fine flat against a wall.

At half the price, and with an honest product description that listed the materials as MDF, I would have given this dresser 4 stars. Beware of innaccurate product descriptions...

this dresser is made very cheaply it was falling apart before i could even get it out of the box plus the screws were missing. i am sending it back

This is great kids' furniture. We bought this for our 4 year old daughter and we all love it. It was easy to put together and will last her years and years. It even looks very nice. We have received several comments from others on how nice it looks. We purchased the twin bed, headboard, 4 drawer chest, 3 drawer chest, dresser with doors, and student desk and saved a bundle when compared to comparable furniture at other stores.
