South Shore Annexe Collection Work Table and Storage Unit Combo, Pure Black

I got the South Shore Annexe Collection Work Table and Storage Unit for my roommate, who was tired of housing his laptop on one of those tiny glass mobile tables.

The unit was fairly easy to assemble, although it did need two people to tackle the job, due to the weight of the pieces. When finished, the work table was sturdy and looked very nice. The piece initially resembles a pinball machine, until you realize that it's meant to have a chair tucked under it from the side, rather than the front. If I had to think of one drawback, I suppose it could use a few more shelves, but all in all it's a very nice piece and fits nicely in a small bedroom. The unit is perfect to house a laptop, stationery, and other items, including books, while providing a generous work space to spread items out. My roommate put his Laptop, speakers, mouse and a clock on the workspace, without the slightest bit of crowding.

The South Shore Work table is a very nicely designed piece of furniture. I got it for my office and love how the table is attached to the upper shelves and even has some storage cubbies underneath. The desk top is a nice size, but not too big and the shelves are really nice and convenient. It's sturdier than you might think a "put it together yourself" is. Once it's together and in it's place it looks like something you might find in a furniture store rather than something that come in a box from UPS. It IS heavy. The UPS guy left the box near my front door and I had a heck of time even sliding it out of the way just to get it in the door. Based on that I was dreading putting it together, but was pleasantly surprised when it went together much easier than other box furniture I've tried. It took my brother and I a relatively frustration free hour putting it together and moving it into my office. I'm not 100% sure about the black yet, it's a nice finish, just not my favorite color. Other than that though I love the unit itself and think it is priced well. Highly recommend.

This unit is heavy and is marked on the box for team lift. Yet, one man delivered it and fortunately I was there when he arrived. The box was very damaged and had no strapping, only tape and a few staples to hold it together. Naturally, there were several dings and one gouge.

It was easy to assemble. The unit is really large with lots of storage space. I needed a lot of counter space and got it. The black finish is great, because dings can be easily covered with a magic marker. Nice unit and I am very happy.

I have bought this item, and it was very good. It's easy to assemble and fit the place that I wanted to put it on. Also, the package was very nice.

The desk is super heavy and arrived damaged. At first I thought that the box was the only thing damaged, but after getting this heavy desk upstairs and opening it up, we found that several pieces were broken or scratched. I ended up calling the company the made the desk, and they sent replacement parts. The desk was just too heavy to package up and ship back to amazon. The desk is really pretty, but it was a huge headache!
