I just received this desk it is fantastic. The quality is great, well built and a great buy for the money. It is very heavy and sturdy. I thought the color was black with maple drawers, but it is a very dark wood tone. I still love it. It came without a scratch. I was going to order it from another company until I checked it's track record. After that I plugged the info about it into Amazon. And low and behold they carried it.
