Coaster Contemporary Jewelry Armoire, Cappuccino

This is a fairly cheap piece of furniture, as you'd expect for the price. It is, however, solid enough for something so inexpensive.

The holes for my flip up mirror were drilled off center so I had to re-pilot some new ones to make sure things were even. The top knob on the fake drawer was also mis-drilled for me, so I had to re-do it in order for the knob to sit flush. The inside lining is pretty cheap felt, although at least on my unit it was glued down fairly neatly. Otherwise the drawers and flip out sides lined up properly for me and felt solid.

This doesn't look expensive by any means, but at 1/2 to 1/3 the price of other units the same size, it holds up for the price paid. You won't find a suitable spot for a boatload of jewelry for less.

I do wish the bottom 2 larger drawers had some dividers, as they are fairly large buckets as it is, but that will be easily enough fixed with some additions I'll put in later.

All in all, about what I expected.

I love my jewelry chest! If you've accumulated more than like 5 necklaces you NEED a chest like this! The black espresso finish with brushed nickel knobs and hooks makes for a contemporary new look and is perfect for ALL my jewelry instead of having multiple small jewelry boxes on the dresser. Plus the price was reduced by over 50% when I purchased it. So worth it and space-saving!

Item ships well, came slightly scratched. Shorter than you think it is! Take the measurement seriously, this think comes up to my waist when it sits on the floorNot exactly the height you think an armoire should be. Also, drawers don't have dividers in them. I didn't look inside of them when I was buying, so heads up. Otherwise, great value and is EXACTLY as described.

I was happy to have received this as a Christmas present in 2011. When assembling it, I found one leg that didn't have the necessary threads in it for the leg to be installed securily. I emailed the maker, Coaster, and they said they would ship me a new leg in either February or March. Here it is April 2nd and I have yet to receive the new leg or any communication from them since their original responses. It's time for a "nasty-gram".

I liked the design and the size. The shipping was good enough but the cabinet arrived damaged. Its a corner damage and could have been avoided. This is not real wood ! :-( Its particle board with laminate. The legs are rickety at best and the predrilled holes are of nominal quality. The hinges are not squared anywhere. This product is made in China and it shows.
